Someone stole my copy of Onegai Teacher Vol. 2!
I was grocery shopping for the week near Dalhousie station and I had to purchase a lot of things to survive the week. I know that I had Vol. 2 when I arrived at Dalhousie, because I was reading it on the bus. And I know that some asshole now has it and that really makes me angry. I am not completely pissed since I still have Volume 1 and I can probably track another copy of Volume 2 down at another store or at Words & Pictures (probably). However, I don’t want to wait forever to get just one copy of Onegai Teacher. It usually takes well over 3 months for ANYTHING to come in at Words & Pictures. Come to think of it, where are the rest of my Love Hina DVDs?
So, I left Safeway and I had a full suitcase, but there was a small problem. I brought the shitty suitcase with no strap. So I had a hard time navigating with it so guess what? I had to stop into the dollar store next door and pick up a leash. Why a leash? Well, it was the best way to carry this thing around. And considering that I had to go into Chapters and pick up a book, I couldn’t deal with managing a suitcase full of groceries that were bound to expire within the next 2 hours and looking for the best book.
So, I have left Chapters and that’s when I noticed it. I noticed that my copy of Onegai Teacher Volume 2 was missing and I could not find it. I sat on the bench at Chapters and looked through my suitcase and it wasn’t there. Now, I am panicking, trying to find out where I placed this book. I have not even finished reading it and it is gone. So, I started to retrace my steps back into Chapters and I had a hell of a time trying to explain to the people at Chapters that I needed to find a book that I lost there. After all the bad looks and retracing my steps through the store and through the Starbucks there, I could not find it. So, I had to trek back to the Dollar store where I got the leash and tried to find the book. I couldn’t seem to find it.
And, so I couldn’t seem to find the book and it was starting to get annoying. I got back into Safeway and the suitcase fell for the 50th time and I couldn’t find out what was up with it. Plus, that was not the pressing issue - the book was. I looked in all the aisles of Safeway and everything and I still couldn’t find it. You can understand that now, I am completely pissed that my book is missing. I am certain that it was stolen. I am going to track down an extra copy of this book whenever I’ve taken care of the rest of my expenses that I need to take care of.
