My secret project: 15art.com
Now that I have secured the name - I can announce my secret project. Yes, 15art.com was my secret project that I am talking about and it is still under development. It is a my personal portfolio and also includes programmes and plugins I have made - as well as a design portfolio, a manga style sketchbook, a couple of manga series that I have been wanting to do and it integrates with content on my blog here. It will do more in the near future but I am working to make sure it can handle THIS.
My sketchbook will include 4 different areas. The regular sketchbook that includes scans from my own sketchbook that were touched up using ImageReady. These are usually somewhat high-quality and new additions will be uploaded usually every week or two. There is also a colour works area that includes scans that were touched up using ImageReady. Please note that you will only get full access to this gallery if you pay for sponsor membership (about $35 CAD a year). Then there is also a dumpbox area that includes scans that are NOT touched up and were about to be thrown into the trash. And the Red Light District contains images that have an adult context. You must have a sponsor membership, paid for by a Verified PayPal account, OR any membership that has been confirmed that you are of legal age to be viewing the content.
You can purchase quality prints of any of the images you have access to via a partner and you can purchase other types of merchandise depending on the print. If you hover your mouse over the image, there will be a control where you can select what product you want to purchase. This will add the product to your cart by means of that oh so delicious AJAX and you can continue browsing the gallery until you want to check out. It will be saved in your account’s cart or in a temporary cart associated to a random cookie.
Plus, I am making a couple of web comics because I have some really good ideas for web comics. In fact, there are a couple of projects that I would really love to get started on as soon as humanly possible.
The current content on the page is what was on thekyle.ca. I am currently working on the front page and all the other stuff. Naturally, this relies on the other content that 15art.com can show. I am also working on many important things such as the search engine, google sitemaps pinger and all that good shit.
I am working on a couple of cool programmes and I think you will really like them (well, if you use a Mac). The majority of the programmes I am writing are going to be around $15-$50 CAD to register. Plus, the goodies that I am coding (i.e. a style for Mint, a couple of Peppers and wordpress styles) are going to be donationware. I will provide one-on-one support for all of these for about $35-$65 CAD a year.
15art.com will also be the centre of all of my web sites and programmes. It will host the advertising programme that we are running (the Pool) and an account centre that will work with thehatelistings.org once it launches and the Pool. It will also include features such as a support ticket system and an area where you can retrieve the licences you have purchased for programmes that I have made. Of course, supporting members will get benefits across the network (i.e. free advertising of a HL collective at thehatelistings.org). These benefits can be controlled by the account centre at 15art.com, along with your profile and maintaining your account status.
