Going to be doing Karaoke again!

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Well, I plan to be doing Karaoke again to some more of my favourite songs. Karaoke is really fun and I’ve never really had the courage to do it, but I guess if I do it and post it to the Internet, it will not be so bad. I mean, I’ve already posted a Karaoke version of “In a Big Country” by Big Country to Spymac so it shouldn’t be too much worse, right? Plus, I want to do this because after you’re done, it’s fun to sit back and watch it again before you upload it for the world to see. I am going to post links to all the Karaoke songs on the blog so you can keep track of them when they are updated. So, I am going to be doing Karaoke singing again and I hope that you all enjoy it. I know that I will.

I hate country music

Friday, May 11th, 2007

I hate country music and I have since I was very little. I was born in California and I was uprooted from California and forced to move to Texas, so I had to put up with Country music when travelling around. Unfortunately, my sister was afflicted by this and she now refers to herself as a Texan. I feel so sorry for her, because she was born in California, just like me. She let Texas and all of it’s terrible factions and evils, such as country music, afflict her. And she is not a free thinker, unfortunately. In fact, because of Texas, country music and everything in southern US culture, she is strongly thinking about going into the United States Armed Forces. (more…)

I KNEW I kept iMovie HD for a reason

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I knew that I kept iMovie HD for a reason and with SpyMac Leapfrog out, I decided to do a piece of karaoke for everyone. So, now - I will botch oldies songs that I heard as a child and THINK I know the lyrics to. In fact, today, you can listen and watch me botch “In a Big Country” by Big Country. But I am just glad that I didn’t delete it considering that I was looking for a free application to make movies with my Apple iSight. And I did. ^_^

UPDATE: You can find my karaoke attempt at “In a Big Country” on SpyMac Leapfrog.

Delayed ETAs and Bon Jovi on repeat

Monday, January 8th, 2007

Okay, so I got burned by another girl. Yeah, this was NOT cool. But the cool thing was that she was a little less rotten than other girls that I have talked to online. I am just so tired of this and I would just like to find someone that I can hold and embrace. Someone that I can walk life’s path with. Someone that will accept and appreciate me for everything that I am. Someone that will love me with an agape love that I will love them with. You see, I have never been loved by another human being. Not my family, no girlfriends and no reliable friends in this world. I am not very popular because I refuse to conform to other people’s standards.

I am not in the mood to talk to many people. And if you do wish to talk to me, you had better be able to withstand many minutes, if not hours, of ranting about how hard it is to find someone of the opposite sex that will love you. About how everyone with a loving family or close, reliable friends is blessed. I am not in a mood to pretend to be happy. Forgive me if I refuse to respond to your private messages or what not, I would not be in a good mood anyways. I am also writing a whole number of posts for four days (8 posts) so I don’t have to respond to comments. It’s evil, I know, but I am not in the mood to play comment police.

To my faithful clients: You will receive everything you ordered. Plus, I will remember this when you want another project so you will very likely save money on your next project. However, when life continuously shits on you, it does not allow you to focus on your work. It’s only two days more in many cases and I apologise for the additional time required. I just need time to centre myself.

iPods in Vending Machines - my take on it

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

Okay, today I read this interesting post on iPods in vending machines and thought to myself, would I really want to buy an iPod FROM A VENDING MACHINE?!? The answer is absolutely not. First off, what colour would I get? It would really suck if I got pink for myself. The reason being is that DRM would very likely make it so there is no music on the iPod from the very start and of course, I have two options from this point.

The first option would be to hook it up to my MacBook Pro and sync it with iTunes and download the latest iPod software (assuming I can even get an Internet connection). The benefit from this is that all my music would already be on the iPod and I can play it when I get on the plane. The problem is that I will be draining my MacBook’s battery life and I kinda like to work while I am on a flight. Normally, with flights across Canada, this wouldn’t be a serious issue, but if my flight has to connect somewhere (it’s inevitable), I am probably going to need a bigger battery - especially while waiting in airports where most of the people in departures speak French and only French (like Montreal). Support Indie Music: Tip at the LRT stations

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

When I go into a LRT station or a +15, sometimes there is a dude playing an instrument. I usually try to tip if I have a toonie or a $5 in my pocket. I do this because of the fact that these people make the unbearable wait for a C-train seem more bearable. They use their talents to help make the City of Calgary a better place to live.

These people spend about $45 (I think) for a licence to play in the LRT stations. I am not sure about the +15s but I am certain that there is some sort of licence involved. So I recommend to all Calgarians, throw a toonie or a loonie into the instrument case, hat or toque of the person playing the instruement.

Getting more than my fair share of crap

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

Okay, so the day of the DOA meeting, I walk into Words and Pictures and lo and behold - my Green Green DVDs came in. The problem? I ordered them 2 months ago from Words and Pictures and I got them when I got back from Fall Ministry Experience from Amazon.ca. In fact, he made me pay for them with my store credit from those Dungeons and Dragons guidebooks that I returned. WTF?!? So, these DVDs are going back to Amazon.ca since Rob won’t allow me to get a refund at his store. Yeah, from now on I am going to use Amazon.ca to purchase all my anime stuff because Words and Pictures sucks. (Miranda directed me toward this store, so what should I expect?)

Also, I finally moved my site over to MediaTemple. Yeah, I know - I should have done it sooner. I started the process to give Barry my web space so I hope he can forgive the latency of this. Just in case you don’t know, I will fill you in on all the details. Barry runs an Azumanga Daioh fan site called Sata Andagi and a less important site called ThoughtDump.net. Now, normally, I would just give this away to someone through some sort of contest but this guy is on 1&1 web hosting so he kinda got my sympathies on this. (fyi: 1&1 is evil)

When I went to my Post Office box downtown, I found out that I forgot my P.O. Box keys. So I had to get the nice Post Office woman to get my mail for me. Appearantly, my Bleach Original Sound Tracks came in. ^_^ But unfortunately, I had to pay customs fees on one of the CDs, just because it was not correctly classified. It wasn’t too bad though, only about $6.00 or something like that. I wonder what I will have to pay when my books come in from Alibris or my NWN2 Limited Edition DVD comes in from GAME in the UK.

So, after that ordeal, I trudged to Meagan and Matt’s place to watch CSI. So, this entails taking the C-Train from downtown to Brentwood and taking a #20 Northmount bus to the shopping centre that encompasses Safeway, CIBC, Shell, a 7-Eleven, a PetroCanada and a few other places. The trudge up to Meagan and Matt’s house from the bus was fierce as they lived several blocks away, completely barred from the bus. The weather was brutally cold and the streets were completely dark (local time: 7pm). When I finally make it to their house, I am greeted with the promise of Lasagna and about 1 hour of CSI.

Today, I leave my warm, comfortable bed for the cold Calgary weather that doesn’t appear to be getting any better and make my way to ABC to talk with Mr. Pringle. Appearantly, I am to blame because my roommate is a liar and my landlords were douche bags. I don’t understand why this is and I am not quite sure why it is that everyone at that college wishes to bully me. It feels at times that I am helpless in my struggle. It feels as if that the faculty (Mr. Pringle and Mr. Frasier) will not stop their assault against me. I am growing terribly tired of this and I wish that I could just escape…
