So Shush has me doing grunt work that I am not fit to do. I don’t know how I can make this clearer - but I am just going to make this point, yet again: I AM NOT A HANDY MAN! I’d probably wind up breaking more stuff than actually fixing a damn thing. And this isn’t the worst part. The worst part is I will be separated from my loving girlfriend Becca. I already miss talking to her and I wish I was by her side, fully enjoying life. So, instead of being able to talk to her through Instant Messenger - I have to use e-mail and blog entries to let her know how much I love her. (more…)

I want to assure you that to preserve the power and allure of content on this site - I am hereby announcing the separation of KyleTech, Inc. and it’s property. I am moving today so my access to the Internet may be limited for a few days or non-existant. Please do not feel bad if I do not respond to the comments or whatever.

I hate calling the customer service department of a business. Generally, it means being transferred to the right person/department/whatever more than once, hopefully getting the support you need and tolerating that horrible hold music and “hold advice” that they give. I am going to talk to you about a couple of my pet peeves in how a business runs and hopefully, this will inspire you to run your call centre in a more efficient manner. And know that until I can afford to take these measures, I am not going to run a call centre. In fact, I only give my number out to clients or possibly prospective clients. (more…)

I think I may be getting a content writing job with eleven2 soon. For those of you who don’t know, eleven2 is a hosting company that I used to be a customer of in late 2005 and is run by my friend from High School, Rodney Giles. I mean, it’s great to get a job that I can do from abroad. A little extra cash in my pocket and toward my upcoming marriage to Becca. On the surface, this seems like a great opportunity and it is something that I would love to do. But the thing about this job is - do I want it? Can I live with myself writing the sales and support content. Possibly. Let’s look at the facts, shall we? (more…)

I got a letter from the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver, regarding retaining Polish citizenship. So - I need to do a lot of document hunting, according to what I have from the Polish Consulate-General. And that’s not even the beginning of it - I need to have them translated into Polish. I don’t know if your read the blog or if you have the same e-mail address anymore, but I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Eat lots of cake, harp on your teachers, and create havoc! Okay, this doesn’t qualify for today’s post but I wanted to give my little sister a shout out. Sue me!

I just got the notice that tomorrow, I will not have a place to live. This sucks immensely because I am going to have to see if I can crash with a friend and work my ass off doubletime to ensure that I get enough money to make the rent for another place here in Calgary. That is going to suck immensely but it does give me new opportunities to find a new place. Plus, there were things about this place that made me cringe. Mainly, the biggest things were the the landlord, how EVERYTHING broke quite easily/never worked in the first place, the rules, the interruptions in the operation of vital services (the two biggest being water and electricity) and of course the quality of roommates. So, it’s another holiday and fortunately - it’s a non-secular holiday! People drinking their asses off, wearing the ONLY thing they have that is green resulting in a human gallery of the ugliest shades of green in the world. You also have websites like Google producing St. Patrick’s Day header images solely for the purpose of celebrating the holiday. Oh and you see ugly ass decorations and you find that people are finally putting candies and easter stuff on the shelves if they haven’t already. I am about to go out and get some groceries so I’ve taken a self-portrait of myself wearing the only green thing in my closet. (more…)

So, the journey of waiting for my MacBook Pro’s power adapter is finally over. Let me retell the epic story because I’d really want a record for my own ranting purposes. On Thursday, I was using the MacBook while sitting on the couch and I noticed that the battery dropped to 10% capacity. So I went back to my room where the power adaptor was and a few moments later, boom. The AC adaptor burned out. So I frantically started to dig around trying to find my AppleCare enrolment number because I knew that I was entitled to a brand new AC adaptor. After numerous hours of searching and searching, I found the AppleCare enrolment number on the CD of software that came with the AppleCare package. (more…)
