Time to Kvetch WordPress!

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

Recently, WordPress started allowing people to bitch about it’s problems and short comings. They call this system kvetch and many bloggers are starting to participate. Hell, I’ve already voiced a couple of my “concerns” and many of my rants on Kvetch. So, this means that it’s time for everyone else to start Kvetching Wordpress. Hell, I think it could be beneficial for the development of WordPress, and in addition, I want to see the Shuttle WP-Admin interface as soon as humanly possible.

With WordPress 2.1 coming out soon, it has made me hesitant to work on Blackthorne and I have pushed the release date to March (at the most). However, I am still holding a torch out to have it done by the end of January. *sigh*

Delayed ETAs and Bon Jovi on repeat

Monday, January 8th, 2007

Okay, so I got burned by another girl. Yeah, this was NOT cool. But the cool thing was that she was a little less rotten than other girls that I have talked to online. I am just so tired of this and I would just like to find someone that I can hold and embrace. Someone that I can walk life’s path with. Someone that will accept and appreciate me for everything that I am. Someone that will love me with an agape love that I will love them with. You see, I have never been loved by another human being. Not my family, no girlfriends and no reliable friends in this world. I am not very popular because I refuse to conform to other people’s standards.

I am not in the mood to talk to many people. And if you do wish to talk to me, you had better be able to withstand many minutes, if not hours, of ranting about how hard it is to find someone of the opposite sex that will love you. About how everyone with a loving family or close, reliable friends is blessed. I am not in a mood to pretend to be happy. Forgive me if I refuse to respond to your private messages or what not, I would not be in a good mood anyways. I am also writing a whole number of posts for four days (8 posts) so I don’t have to respond to comments. It’s evil, I know, but I am not in the mood to play comment police.

To my faithful clients: You will receive everything you ordered. Plus, I will remember this when you want another project so you will very likely save money on your next project. However, when life continuously shits on you, it does not allow you to focus on your work. It’s only two days more in many cases and I apologise for the additional time required. I just need time to centre myself.

Working through the night

Thursday, July 6th, 2006

Tonight, I will be working throughout the night ensuring that I get to keep my domain. This will be a true test of my faith and I hope that I can get my domain back. It IS a very popular domain so I would be pissed to lose this domain. (more…)

Raising $250.00+ in One Week

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

Basically, here is the skinny on this. I had a bad client try to infect my computer and raise some seditious remarks  against me and my services on vB.org. Now, in addition to paying off the bank (still owe them like $200.00), I have to refund this fag. This is a complete waste of my time and I shouldn’t have to be doing… *evil grin* Just got a good idea!

WP-MySpace 0.1 Development Release 1

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

WP-MySpace is a WordPress plugin that allows you to send your posts from WordPress over to MySpace.com . We are working on a usable Beta. Development Release 2 and all dev releases, alpha, beta, release candidates and gold versions are going to be released for the government.

Basically, this also allows you to commenters to associate their MySpace accounts with their WordPress accounts. It also splits the post at a predefined area. In my installation, this would be two paragraphs. For you non-devs out there, here is an explaination of the differences between development releases, alpha releases, beta releases, release candidates and gold versions.

d or x - Development or Experimental (1.0d12)
This means you’ve just started working on a project where any and all of the features could change at any time.

a - Alpha (1.0a6)
This is where you’ve nailed down your features, but you’re may still be adding new ones as you go along. Also you might be “feature complete but the features are not yet fully implemented to specification.

b - Beta (1.0b3)
When you’re in Beta, you’re typically “feature complete, but there are still many bugs and performance issues with your software.

You don’t usually release beta software to the end user unless you’re looking for specific feedback about the product, or are in need of help squashing bugs.

rc - Release Candidate (1.0rc1)
When you hit Release Candidate, you’re pretty sure you’ve squashed any lingering bugs, and you’re about to release your software. Your testers, however, may not agree, thus you can end up rolling a few fc builds in an effort to wrap up a version.

GM - Golden Master (1.0)
This is the final, shipping version of your product. This is the version that the public gets to play with, and the version that’s free of any bugs that are known to cause problems (yeah, right).

Sending my computer in to HP

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

Okay, so here is the skinny. I am going to have to send my computer in to Hewlett Packard, but the only problem is I can’t seem to find my CD for Photoshop CS. This will make it a nightmare because I need to have Photoshop CS to upgrade to Photoshop CS2. Maybe I should consider the possibility of just removing the hard drive of this computer and deactiving CS2. This way, HP won’t wipe the drive.

Also, I am going to get out of the professional web design business due to the fact that I can relatively NEVER finish everything. I am not going to abandon web design and my current clients. All clients that I have promised work to will get it. However, there will be no new clients unless I specifically look for work. If I like your site and you are a good client, I’ll keep doing business for you.

Generally though, I have to focus on raising the money for the CIC (approximately $1525 Canadian) and getting my newest project off the ground. What is it? I am not telling ;-) but if you keep an eye on The Coldwood, you might see it come into being.

I also located Adam’s new telephone number and I talked to his wife. Appearantly Adam said that he owed me less than $100 (he actually owes me $150) and also he is… someplace that I really couldn’t decipher due to the fact that Adam’s wife stated that she had children around. While I am not one to gossip, I have a few guesses: jail, rehab, psych ward or a brothel. Either way, I really need to get that money.

Oh, and I am pretty sure that you fail it.

A generic rant.

Well, I’ve started development on GalleryPress, the perfect Gallery to complement WordPress. Actually, to be truthful, it won’t work with ONLY WordPress. I plan to make a version for b2evolution as well.

Also, I am back on the road to getting my own server again. However, due to the fact that this is a lifetime ASO account… I will keep my personal site here. Hell, Tim already has my $150, why not? (more…)

Okay.. Okay..

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

Sorry for not posting in a long time. Anyways, this is going to be a LOOONG post.

Sunday - Okay, I uploaded the rest of my files and tried to install Fedora Core 3. It appeared to install correctly but it didn’t boot. Tried this three times, didn’t work. I went to SNL and asked my friend Kenneth to burn me a copy of Mandrake. He said he would have it by Wednesday.

Monday - All in all, an uneventful day. I setup my checking account this day, but that’s pretty much it.

Tuesday - Asked Kenneth about the CD. He said that he would have it soon. Yeah, riiight. Anyways, again, another boring day. Duckworth gave us an assignment to make a company powerpoint (Which I should be doing right now). I went to work and got chewed out by Mike.

Wednesday - Kenneth didn’t have the CD. Okay, that was a given. Anyways, there was a senior assembly today. We took panoramic pictures and all that. Plus, another bad work day. Two customers complained about me. If they have something to say, say it to my face.
