Yesterday, two great things happened with my blog that will allow me to make a bit more revenue with this blog. Yesterday, my blog was accepted to two different kinds of advertising programmes. These two new advertising programmes are Text Link Ads and ReviewMe and they may very well help me get more and more paid reviews, advertisers and a new revenue stream. These programmes are much different from one another, the first providing paid advertisements in the sidebar (soon) and the other providing paid posting reviews. And I guess it is better I use these services than relying solely on my own advertising page that is buried in the About the Blog page. Furthermore, at least it’s worth giving them a try as other advertising programmes never really worked. (more…)

I’m sorry that I had to go into a hiatus. I needed to take a little break so I could be 100% sure to avoid saying something bad and untrue about Becca. Truth be told, she’s a wonderful woman and any man would be happy to have her. But, the distance between us was just too great and she couldn’t take it anymore. I can understand and respect her for that, but that doesn’t mean I’m too happy about this. But I am going to try to avoid online dating and even if that is so, I am only going to date people in my locality. This way, I can avoid a lot of heartbreak. (more…)

I’m not going to sugarcoat the truth or lie about things. The people who read my blog day in and day out know that I am not one to lie or falsify reality. But recently, Becca had made the decision to end our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend. I wish her well in all that she does and I’m just happy that she treated me with the respect and dignity I deserve. She didn’t lie to me or deceive me like Miranda did. Or like Chelsea did. But I am not happy about the situation at all. In fact, I am quite unhappy because I had high hopes for this relationship. (more…)

Macrabbit just recently released CSSEdit 2.5 to the general public. Now, CSSEdit is one of my favourite power toys (tomorrow, I’ll discuss power toys for the Mac) for the Mac and it gives me the power to do so much with my current style sheets. It has a beautiful way to validate style sheets with W3C standards. And of course, it still has the smexy features it always had such as Milestones, Live Preview and Xray. And this has not been replicated in applications like Panic’s Coda (which costs a US$69 if you own a Transmit licence). Also, Macrabbit added a beautiful new welcome page for CSSEdit 2.5 (compared to the one that Macrabbit made for CSSEdit 2.0).

As you can see from subscribing to my feed, I do not provide a full feed of content from my blog. And I haven’t been doing so since the start of my blog (as far as I can recall). I am a blogger and I would like more people to read my blog because, let’s face it - I love it when people read my shit, er, informative articles. . (more…)

Right now, I just can’t think of anything to write. And I mean for the blog and for the books. I have writer’s block and I can’t seem to put down any words. I wish I could but unfortunately, I can’t. I’m just temporarily suffering from writer’s block. Just thought I’d share that. -_-

Based on recent trolling on my blog - I had to start setting WordPress so I have to manually approve all comments. I tried setting forth a request that all commentors follow a set of guidelines on ethical behaviour to ensure that people would stop flaming. But oh so sadly, this was not possible. People kept flaming, lying and trying to deceive others. Some even went as far as to question the seriousness of my relationship with Becca. This was when I decided to make it so I would have to manually approve all comments. Because I am just tired of this bullshit. To all those who flamed my blog (and you know who you are - even if you choose to deny it) - this is a problem of your own doing. A vice of your own making.

I am afraid to say that due to the recent defamatory comments made by certain parties that appear to be very immature, I am going to have to request that commentators follow certain rules. These basically are the rules of courtesy, honesty and fair treatment of others. I have a few main points which must be followed. If you intend to comment, please read through them carefully, I typed them up and read them a few times to ensure they communicated some very important concerns here. (more…)

With my temporary return to the United States, this blog is American once again, oh so sadly. But the good news is that it won’t be long, because I will be heading to the United Kingdom within the next two months. I am already working to try to get a job there and head out to see my lovely girlfriend, Becca. My ultimate goal is to get a job in London, get to London and live in London - near or with my wonderful girlfriend, Becca. Please note - however - this does not mean that I want to be called American or am in agreement with the policies of the United States government, the Bush Administration or any part of the United States government which is evil. I just want to make a few things exceptionally clear: (more…)

Yes, that is right - I use Apple’s series of tools available to Mac users for US$100 a year. There are a great number of reasons behind this and I am willing to explain them all in great detail. They range from secure instant messaging, superior back up services, synchronization between other Macintosh computers and IMAP-based e-mail account. I use those services mainly but there are other services which I use just because I can and I have found good uses for them. (more…)
