Probably going to get dooced at school

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Talking with Mr. Pringle today got me thinking about how well the school takes freedom of speech. The college is actually very hypocritical and I know at least one person that sees this as well. My blog is a mind dump, more or less. You can write about the things that are going on in your life and it helps you feel much better. When comments come, it makes you feel that you are not alone in the struggle that is life. It is a slice of my life that not everyone sees and they get to view the world that I live in a little differently.

I don’t blog about anything, or share opinions, that I wouldn’t feel happy talking about up on a stage in front of friends and strangers. This is why I am not anonymous nor do I wish to be. My name IS Kyle Korleski (no, that is not a pen name) and I live in Calgary, Alberta for the time being (if I were to move, it’d definitely be to Halifax or Vancouver). I have a loud, outspoken attitude that some people find to be very acidic. I’d love to be stopped and told how much my blog rocks/sucks. I love writing this blog because it gives me a chance and a forum in which to vent my anger, disgust and discontentment with the world, while at the same time celebrating the wonderful things that happen in my life. It is very nice to actually get comments on this blog, and no, the viagra spam comments do not count in this. (more…)

Have to go see Mr. Pringle and Mr. Frasier

Saturday, November 11th, 2006

Unfortunately, due to my recent illness, I have to go see Mr. Pringle and Mr. Frasier about my studies. I think I may have taken one sick day too many. I am worried because it is quite unlike me to be sick this much. I usually have a resilient immune system and can fend off sickness quite easily. Oh well, at least I feel a little less ill now. Why is it that nothing ever goes my way?

Plus, I found an interesting offer for a partnership with someone on Craigslist. I hope I can use this to support my permanent immigration into this country. If I can, maybe I will have SOMETHING going my way. (more…)

Why I couldn’t go to Vegas

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

Trust me, there are plenty of reasons why I would see Mr. Fab’s post and buy a last minute round trip ticket to Vegas on Air Canada. But there is one predominant reason why I could not go. I do not have my Permanent Resident card yet. You know, that little piece of plastic that allows people to travel in and out of Canada freely.
Don’t get me wrong, there is a LOT of travelling that I would love to do but not having a PR card to ensure my safe and non-hindered re-entry into Canada kinda scares me. But I sure as hell do not intend to stay in the city for Stampede. Maybe I might take a little trip to Vancouver or Lumby or Halifax. I dunno.

A book on the Alberta Labour Shortage

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

Once I get my permanent residence here, I will work on a book called “The Alberta Labour Shortage and why we need you”. Basically, this is a guide to people who want to immigrate to Canada but are otherwise unable to do so. It explains in great detail on how to find a job in Alberta, what job you need to focus on and how to get your permanent residence in just 2 years.

This book also includes expert opinions from HRSDC officials and persons from the Province of Alberta. Basically, it will be a MUST for people who want a bright future here in Calgary.

Can’t be two places at once

you dont live in canada i saw you a couple of weeks ago walking down kuykendahl…and elliott saw you too he wanted to get your butt but yah

Uh, tell that to the CBSA and CIC. Oh and you might want to tell that to Alberta Bible College. And while you are at it, why not tell Miranda, or my roommate? How about telling my landlord that? What of telling the guy down at Safeway that? Or the people who ride a Calgary transit bus? Or the minister over at Bow Valley Church of Christ. I am certain they’d love to hear it. Oh and how about CIBC and Telus. Or my next door neighbours. And what of my mother, who saw me off to the airport? How about telling that to the Air Canada staff?

You have 2 people that saw a glimpse of what you claim is me where I have like several people who have seen me face to face. Anyone who reads this and sees Kendra, tell her about this post and that hopefully, she will see that there are more than 2 people that agree with me, that I do live in Canada. But yeah.

Haven’t blogged in a longer while

$275/$725 - only $450 more to save ^_^

Saturday, August 12th, 2006

I have to save Canadian$725 to get into Canada (apartment, student visa and all that stuff) and so far, I have about US$275. I should be getting like $160 more soon, so I need to find a way to get the remaining $290 before I land in Canada - anyone have any suggestions to get the remaining funds?

Halfway Hoser

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

Some people ask me how it is that I can hold a Canadian domain when I am not yet a full Canadian. Or something like this:

[4:29 AM] (SupaFly): Hey Kyle, are you a full Canadian yet.
[4:30 AM] (@KyleofAlberta): Nah, not that lucky. It’ll take a little while.
[4:33 AM] (SupaFly): So what are you? Canadian or American.
[4:34 AM] (@KyleofAlberta): If you are not willing to accept the fact that I am both Canadian and American, I guess you could call me a halfway-hoser.
[4:35 AM] (SupaFly): lol

Immigration details aren’t working out.

Friday, July 14th, 2006

Unfortunately, my attempts at immigrating into Canada are failing and this is very likely due to hard paper experience. And this also turns off potential employers. However, there are a few viable options and all of them seem to put my immigration off for a few years. Even then, I will have a lot of trouble finding work with no college education as of yet. The Kyle of Alberta may be living in British Columbia

Wednesday, July 5th, 2006

You know, I found a couple of good job offers in Victoria, British Columbia so in order to get on the road to permanent residence, I am probably going to have to move to British Columbia.

Rexanni and The Coldwood Studios may not launch until I get my PR Card ^_^. (more…)
