Dale has gone insane

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

I am no longer allowed to live in the house I was living in because someone who worked there (Dale) thought I stole some soft drinks from him. This is a blatant lie and I am very disappointed that Dale would even think that I did it, given the high level of respect for others I possess. Furthermore, it happened AFTER other people came into the house so how could he assume it was me? But over all, I know the following should be done. (more…)

I’m not going to sign a god damn thing!

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

It is VERY possible that I might have to wind up finding a temporary place where I won’t have to sign a lease. You see, I can’t afford an apartment AND leave for the US immediately. Furthermore, I want to save as much money as possible before going to the United Kingdom. So - do you recommend any place where I wouldn’t have to sign a lease and can stay for 10 days because I may be going to London sooner than I think. Of course, my exact date and time of arrival in the United Kingdom is still dependant on how quickly I can get work, air fare and other such provisions. But I want to be with Becca as soon as possible and I would like to be in London before the first of June. And of course, while web design positions are preferred above all else, I will not turn down a Customer Service position as long as it gets me into the United Kingdom quicker. (more…)

Warm and Cool Runnings

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I am not a handyman as I stated before. And I will only do things like this (a) for someone I love and/or (b) out of necessity. I’ve been unable to do many of the things that asshole Shush has told me to do. The basic reason behind it is that this is NOT what I do for a living. He doesn’t seem to realize that I am not a carpenter, a repair man or even a handyman. I am an artist, an author, a businessman, a designer, a visionary and a lot of other things that don’t even come close to what he wants. I am an intellectual damn it! During physical education, I usually found a spot in the shade or in a corner where the coach would not see me. I would read, I would write, I would draw and I would try to ensure that the coach did not see me because he would probably make me do something terrible like play basketball, football or something like that. Shameless Plea: Funding for my voyage to the UK

Monday, March 26th, 2007

I have done the necessary research and I have found that it is actually going to cost me $3,250 to make the trip up to the UK from Calgary. Of course, that means I am going to have to vastly increase my work load and HOPEFULLY get an apartment that is near my loving girlfriend, Becca. To do this, I want anyone who needs web design to consider contacting me. I am actually pretty good and I am willing to give you a discount for all quotes over US$500. I am also selling ads on the sidebar for US$60 a month. I will only be selling 10 of these so at US$40, this is well worth it. Plus, that gets you links in both the bottom of e-mails sent by my WordPress install as well. That will give you way more coverage. (more…)

Temporarily separated from my baby - in another way!

Monday, March 26th, 2007

So Shush has me doing grunt work that I am not fit to do. I don’t know how I can make this clearer - but I am just going to make this point, yet again: I AM NOT A HANDY MAN! I’d probably wind up breaking more stuff than actually fixing a damn thing. And this isn’t the worst part. The worst part is I will be separated from my loving girlfriend Becca. I already miss talking to her and I wish I was by her side, fully enjoying life. So, instead of being able to talk to her through Instant Messenger - I have to use e-mail and blog entries to let her know how much I love her. (more…)

Need to raise £4,500 to get into the United Kingdom

Saturday, March 24th, 2007

I am planning to do what I can to get into the United Kingdom and I have calculated the cost to do so. Therefore, I am doing whatever I can to get the right amount of funds to pay for my trip there. I have done the necessary calculations and I have come up with the figure of £4,500. Therefore, I am doing everything I can to get that much money. And the thing is, I want to have it all by May 31st, so I can order a flight to London. Here is what the cost covers: (more…)

Taking an important step back

Saturday, March 24th, 2007

I have talked with Becca today and after much thought - we have mutually decided to take a very important step back and become just boyfriend/girlfriend. This does not mean that we no longer have the potential to become engaged again, but I doubt it’d happen anytime soon. In fact, I’d probably wait like a year or two before considering it again. But let’s look at the pros and cons of this - because it has both. But I can promise you this - I will NEVER post another thread on Yay Hooray again! (more…)

Can’t rain on my parade!

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

There have been several detractors about my recent engagement to Becca and I would first like to say that I plan to address all the legitimate concerns here. But I would like to reiterate that defamation is not allowed in the commentary on my blog. So please, let’s act maturely here. If we don’t act with maturity and honesty, than what do we have really? How to deal with a car in your spot

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

I just thought of a great type of post to write for my blog - an effective list of things to do to cars in your spot. Remember, however, to keep it legal. Your best bet in all instances is just to have the car that is parked there towed. You don’t have to pay anything to have it towed (the person who is getting the tow generally picks up the tab for a tow). Plus, they generally should not be parking in your spot in the first place. Here is what you would do first - remember to first consult a local towing company because they might know something that you might not about the legality of what you are thinking of doing. (more…)

How you should run a business

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

Yesterday, I made a rant about how Jelsoft was violating not only defamation law but the rights of licence holders. But some people may ask “Well, Kyle, that’s all well and good but how SHOULD I run a business?” Well, businesses should be run in a manner which allows the people working in them to live a honest and clean life. In order to do this, there are some fundamental principles that you should consider when running your business and drafting your business plan. And this means admitting to doing wrong and making the effort to do the right thing. In the end, it’s worth it though. (more…)
