Hey, I know I’ve been ranting on things like my landlord kicking me out and that failed C&D attempt at Jelsoft but at least some good news came to me today. After trudging through the perils of loving, being used, abused and being victim to the dregs of humanity, I am now engaged to Becca. Seriously, she even mentioned it in her blog. So, as you can probably I am VERY happy about this and I am making a big commitment. But some believe that my decision to move to Canada and then to the United Kingdom was big. I feel odd because I’ve never put much stock into online dating websites and now, I’ve found my future wife on one. This is awesome! ^_^

I am working on tracing my Polish roots but this has led me to express a lot of interest in my roots. Therefore, I have decided to start rebuilding my family tree with a programme called MacFamilyTree. So - if you have any beef with me for writing an extra post today - don’t complain - there will be a longer post tomorrow. Until then, enjoy a little Waka Laka, m’kay?

I’ve set the pricing at which I will do work for people - and this includes custom work and all that stuff. At the root of it - I will charge US$25.00 a hour. Basically, this price is non-negotiable and is set for until January 1, 2008. The reason for this is because this year - I will have entered my ninth year as a web designer. And this year, I will have entered my fifth year as a web developer. And I will have spent my first year breaking my designs out of tables and putting them into CSS. I’ve spent many years tinkering with subjects like usability, standards, PHP, ASP, MySQL and other fun subjects. The pricing is fair for the level of experience I have. (more…)

Yes, I hate Calgary, Alberta. Every girl I met here is evil. I’ve been stood up, abused, misused and I plan to get out of this city as soon as I get my PR card. And yes, I will try Edmonton first before considering moving to another province. Of course, I’ve heard good things about British Columbia and I am going to try to find someone there. If I am unsuccessful, I will try Ontario and other provinces. However, I must try Alberta’s other big city, Edmonton, first before leaving this province. After all, I cannot truly claim that it would be a serious “quality of life” infraction if I have not tried Alberta’s other cities. And this means that I would have to intend to settle in this province, as per the rules of the PNP. (more…)

At first, I thought very highly of Rob. Even when he brought that whore into the apartment. Rob was someone I highly respected and I even respected him more than Huda. I respected him highly because he was a very respectable person. That was until recently when he decided to accuse me of taking a chocolate rose that he received for Valentine’s Day. (more…)

I did not get to meet Chelsea for our date because she had a family emergency. This kind of made me a bit angry and confused, but I will explain the events that transpired in full detail. The following post may seem a bit ego-centric but PLEASE understand the circumstances behind it. On valentines day, my date did not show. But she had her reasons, as explained in the last paragraph. So please note that I am going to write this in a chronological fashion so you can see what was going on in my mind. Tomorrow, in recognition of the holiday, it will be a limited service day. This means several different things to many people. To my bigger clients, this means no telephone service and services will start at 11am and end at 3pm for existing projects. This also means that no new projects will be started today and all clients will be notified immediately. Plus, all clients will be notified immediately so they will know what is happening to their projects. All minor clients and their projects will be frozen until full service is resumed on Thursday. Thank you for your understanding and I sincerely hope you have a wonderful day.

Sometimes, I wonder if I should go to my high school reunion once it rolls around. I mean, it’s inevitable, like death, pain and taxes. High school was very much like my childhood. A painful time of confusion and doubt that I really don’t really want to recur. An example of all the hypocrisy in culture and the question “are THESE supposed to be the best times of my life?” I highly hope not, because I was not happy in high school. High school was not a good time for me and I think that it would be highly dishonest to say so. (more…)

I am about to go out on my first date and I am excited, nervous, anxious, happy, paranoid and a lot of other emotions that are just indescribable. But I am worried about a few things (obviously). Maybe it’s just paranoia but I really need to keep my fears in check and cool it. (more…)

I just got an en masse e-mail from the Dedicated Otaku Anime President as soon as I woke up today. Appearantly, there are problems with a few of the male members of the club harassing other members. In addition, this may very well spread to the club’s annual anime festival, Otafest. While I know that logically, my actions were not the ones that spurred this e-mail, I can’t help but think maybe my desire to find the person I am destined to be with is overriding my motives and intentions. And then I thought that I am probably not the only person with this problem. There are many otaku males out there that cannot seem to get a date and I happen to be one of them.
