Just got my plane tickets ^^

Monday, March 20th, 2006

Well, according to Air Canada, I should land in Canada on April 30th. How lucky for me! Sadly, however, no meal. Nah, I wouldn’t worry though. I could just pick up something at the airport. I might have to convert all my money to Canadian Dollars, just for good measure.

Also, I just applied for my passport today. It was a nightmare. I had to wait in a long line at the Post Office and had to move to a completely line. On top of that, they confiscated my Birth Certifercate and said they wouldn’t give it back until I got my passport. What’s up with that? They SAY it will take 6 weeks. 6 weeks from today should be about May 1st (am I right?) I am getting new baggage for the trip. A laptop bag and a carryon back to hold the clothes I want to/can wear in Canada. The rest of my stuff can be shipped via UPS before I leave. (more…)

A quick rant before I head out the door

Saturday, March 18th, 2006

Humm… What to Rant about… Good question…

I am about to go to work at the Corner Store and work until 2PM (5 hours of work), so I have decided to make this a quick rant.

6 minutes left to rant… lets see - Have you seen the splash page at kyletech.us? It’s really something alright! ;-) I plan to make a layout for the blog like that. (more…)

Brooke was banned

Friday, March 17th, 2006

Sadly, this is the first time I ever had to ban someone that I actually met in real life. But, knowing Brooke, it was only a matter of time before this happened.

Sorry Spence, I still don’t see what you see in her. She isn’t a good person. A kind person. Or even a decent person. And when she posted that IM convo on your myspace, I kinda had a problem with that.

She will not be unbanned. If you know of any hangouts she visits to try to get to this site, please, e-mail me the IP addresses of the compys she uses (unless they are public places). Thank you for your assistance and who knows, you might win a prize. Or at the least, my undying gratitude.

Overcoming the ugly brand on the DMOZ home page.

Friday, March 17th, 2006

Even though the DMOZ pages say “In partnership with AOL Search”, I will continue my duties. I cleared all the update requests in Arts: Animation: Anime: Fandom. After I create the RWS website and The Coldwood’s website, I will clear this category of greens.

Bioware in Austin

Friday, March 17th, 2006

(The official press release: http://www.bioware.com/bioware_info/press_releases/2006_03_15_Austin/ . Remember, we would NEVER make something this gruesome up. We may have a bit of satarical fun but this is not something that should be joked around with.)

Bioware, the makers of Neverwinter Nights, Mass Effect, Jade Empire and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic as well as numerous other titles have opened a second office in Austin. So, now, let’s offer a moment of silence for Bioware.

Firstly, why base outside of Canada? Edmonton has been very good to Bioware. Also, Canada has many other country-wide benefits such as a leadership that doesn’t try to piss off every other country.

Bioware had a number of other great US cities to choose from. Many of them being in California, but they could have also chosen to base their company in cities in such New York City, Miami, Pittsburgh, Chicago, St. Louis but they chose Austin, Texas.

R.I.P. Bioware. We hardly knew ye.

The foolish mistakes….

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

You know when you think you are getting to be into a good relationship with someone and you do something completely idiotic like sending her about a billion private messages about “why she isn’t on Instant Messenger”? Yeah, I kinda blew it, I think.

I really liked this girl too. She was smart, sophisticated and she seemed to like me despite my looks (I sent her a picture). I hate this… Why is it that even though I have the IQ of 210, I seem to have to inane ability to screw everything up?

I really hoped I could get into a relationship with this girl too. She wasn’t just some other girl. She seemed like she and I had so much potential. She was funny, smart, witty, a good listener and completely respectful of the apathy I have for my family.

I have rarely cried in my life. I didn’t cry during the Passion of the Christ. I didn’t cry when my past two girlfriends broke up with me. I never cried the day I found out that my parents were lying, horrible people. Now, as I am typing this message, I am crying because I am afraid that I, Kyle Korleski, have once again, screwed up something that could have thrusted me out of this hell-hole sad excuse of a life with hateful parents and into a world of love and respect. Why? Why must I screw everything up?

My prayer… for my new life with her…

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

Oh god, I pray to you, please give me one more chance. Another chance to meet her, another chance to make things right, another chance to get to know her more. Please, god, I know I screwed up and I don’t deserve another chance.

If only to speak with her again, if only to get to know her more, I would be forever in your debt. Please, help, me. I want to leave my life as it is now, I want to live a life of purpose and happiness. Please, give me the words and wisdom to have her back into my life.

The date moved up!

Saturday, March 11th, 2006

Wow, I haven’t blogged in a while… And I have so much to say!

I am coming to Canada appearantly sooner than I thought (woo hoo!) The date has been moved from the end of May to (drumroll please) the end of April :-)

Today at work (well, technically, yesterday), we had a staff meeting at Tom’s office. We were talking about the shit around the store, pretending to listen but truly, I didn’t care. I got to get paid for sitting 2 hours in a chair listing to my fellow co-workers and my boss whine about the store. (more…)
