Dial-Up - IT SUCKS

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

It’s Kyle Korleski and I am temporarily on one of the shittiest types of Internet Connections - a dial-up Internet connection. As you can likely tell, I am not that big of a fan of Dial-UP internet but since my neighbours haven’t fixed their fucking Internet Service yet (down for 14 hours - unacceptable!) so I have to post this from a dial-up Internet Connection. This is a temporary connection and I do plan on closing the account once I get my high speed back. However things load so much slower on dial-up. It’s taking forever to upload my batch of photos to Flickr (via the Flickr Uploadr) and I’ve had to turn off images and javascript while browsing the web. Connections still time out so I am a bit hesitant to go online to alert my fellow guild members that I am not going to be online for a little while.

Gotten back into RO and a Wallpaper Rant

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Well, I’ve gotten back into Ragnarok Online. It’s a pretty cool game and you should check out the private server I am on over at http://www.q-ro.net/ . So that’s one more reason why I might not be as active of a blogger anymore. (more…)

$275/$725 - only $450 more to save ^_^

Saturday, August 12th, 2006

I have to save Canadian$725 to get into Canada (apartment, student visa and all that stuff) and so far, I have about US$275. I should be getting like $160 more soon, so I need to find a way to get the remaining $290 before I land in Canada - anyone have any suggestions to get the remaining funds?

Sorry about yesterday and the future lack of activity

Friday, August 11th, 2006

While I do care about this site and blog and wish to write on a daily basis - I am forced to limit my activity on my blog as my time is being primarily consumed by my entrance into a Canadian college so I can remain here longer than just a few months. I am also looking for an apartment and/or roommate in the Calgary area. If you have an apartment and wouldn’t mind a roommate, please tell me so that I can find some place to live.

Also, the FOAD Thursday article I had planned for yesterday DOES exist. It have it typed up in OpenOffice and I will clean it up next Thursday. And there will not be any additional Wordless Wednesdays for a while due to the fact that I had to pawn my camera.

Wordless Wednesday ^_^

A feature that I have been kicking around over the past few days.

Leaving vB.nl for good

Monday, August 7th, 2006

If you are a member of vB.nl (also known as vBulletin Fans), I’d recommend that you stay as far away from the site as possible. In the course of 1 month, the site has strayed from being a very valuable resource to the vBulletin community to an example of what the administration should not become. (more…)

Post #200 - Time for some retrospect.

Sunday, August 6th, 2006

Okay, this is going to be a VERY long post so be aware of that while you are reading, okay? This post is about happiness, hope, depression, clarity and the future.
Okay, first off - this is the 200th post on my blog ^_^. Yes, I am pretty happy about that. (more…)

A special message from Kyle Korleski to Bryan Veloso

Sunday, August 6th, 2006

Bryan (of avalonstar.com), I have some good news for you. I am close to figuring out how to place a picture of eggrolls in the styling of the WordPress ACP. Okay, that wasn’t exactly a normal blog post but really, what IS normal?

Customer Service Insult: No I do not need to learn Hiragana!

Saturday, August 5th, 2006

I was talking about a problem that I am having with my HP laptop. You see, I can’t seem to type in Hiragana anymore and that is a truly annoying problem. It’s annoying because I have an anime site launching in a few days and I need the power to type in Japanese. ã?°ã?‹ï¼? (That means idiot! in Japanese). She suggested many things that were just not an option (including relearning Hiragana). The moment of climax was when I mentioned that my Macintosh computer could do this about a million times better, the support session ended. Guess HP just can’t deal with it’s own problems.
If you saw tiny boxes above instead of actual Japanese characters, you will need to install Asian Text Support. For this you will need your Windows CD. Usually, Linux and Macintosh computers do not have this problem because the people who developed these platforms weren’t developed by dick heads.

Fanatic Spammers

Thursday, August 3rd, 2006

I am getting so tired of these fanatic spammers working against me. As of yet, I do not know their intentions other than to get me to lie and say I am living in Tomball, Texas. I will tell you the truth here and now. I am living in Calgary, Alberta. However, there are people out there that insist on lying to the general public. Everything I have posted on this blog is 100% true. They have gone to extreme lengths to edit images to make things look official. I will post a picture of my passport tommorrow to prove that I am in Canada.
