Hiya! It’s Kyle Korleski again and I am going to start posting on my blog once more. I don’t know precisely why, but I just missed posting about my every day life to the world. So, I will be sure to get back into the habit of posting again. And trust me, there are a lot of things that I have been wanting to post about but have not as of yet. But the first thing I have to do is start updating this blog because there are a lot of issues with using a blog running old, unstable WordPress code.

I am hereby closing my blog and closing off each and every facet of my Internet life within the next 1-4 months. This means that I’ll start selling domains that I have not used, closing sites with little to no activity and closing IM accounts. In fact, the only sites I run that will be somewhat updated are this blog and a few other sites that I have promised to launch. Furthermore, I will still be running my own web design business, but only for a small amount of clients. And I will resurface in a few months with a new identity which will not be disclosed here or elsewhere. But my point is that I want to disconnect from my current life and move on to a new life.

The first reason for doing this is that I am a transsexual woman and I am NOT going to deal with the crap that the YayHooray crowd is going to start with that. I want to transition with a level of semi-privacy and I want to do this with as much freedom as possible. Problem is - I already have enough obligations and requirements set upon me that restrict my freedoms and rights. And I have too many people against me when I write to justify writing my blog as “helping people” anymore. I want to help people and provide a service through this blog. However, I cannot say that I am doing this anymore, because I know that it is not true. I’ve already suffered enough from my blog. I’m going to keep it open though, for archival reasons and to continue selling the advertising.

The second reason is that I have never identified as “The Darkest Evil” and I am a nice person at heart. I am not a bad person and I do not advocate for evil. So, therefore, I cannot ethically identify as “The Darkest Evil” anymore. Therefore, I resign writing for this blog and may, in the future, write for another blog under my new identity but I must keep true to myself and my beliefs. I will keep the blog online, though - because I still see some value to keeping it online. However, I am disabling comments.

So goodbye world!

One of my favourite games to play for the computer has always been Postal 2. And what makes me happy is that I didn’t have to lose playing Postal 2 when I made my switch from Windows to Mac. And now, a good thing has been made better now that the original Postal has been turned into an Universal binary. And for $10, it’s a real bargain. The original is not polluted with side tasks or too much backstory (if you like that sort of thing) but it is a very violent game for those who just want to relieve a little stress. And yes, it is VERY effective - I find myself playing a little Postal 2 or Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend every now and then.

Today, the iPhone went on sale, but I’m not in line to get one. And I’m not going to be for quite some time. It’s not just because of the money, but it’s also because of the three very important reasons. The first is it just isn’t worth it to spend the money on an iPhone. The second reason is that it’s the first generation model and I’m going to hold out until the iPhone starts getting into it’s third generation model. The third is it’s exclusivity with the evil telephone monopoly known as AT&T. I explain my reasons in more detail below.

It isn’t worth it - An Apple iPhone costs $500-$600 and for a 4GB/8GB model. Is this a sexy phone? Without a doubt. But I’m not going to be in the country around 2-3 years from now. In that timeframe, I will be moving BACK to Canada for personal reasons.

It’s the first generation model - Do you remember the first generation iPod? Yeah, take a look at those specs and think about how a 5GB and a 10GB iPod is a few GB shy of the iPhone’s 4GB/8GB models. Okay, now look at the current iPod models - the fifth generation iPods. We have 30GB and 80GB iPods now. These new iPods are even more beautifully designed than the first generation iPods, have a lot more storage capabilities and can do more than the first generation iPods. It’s all the more reason to wait for the new iPhones to come out.

Exclusivity with AT&T - Apple really screwed the pooch when they decided to partner with one of the most evil and insidious of monopolies in the history of the United States, AT&T. Twenty years ago, AT&T hold dominion over much of the long-distance and local telephone service in the continental United States. However, in a more pro-consumer government, they were forced to disband and a number of “Bell” companies assumed the authority of long distance provider. Now, AT&T has bought them out as well as buying out Dish Network, Cingular and other service companies. AT&T already has their evil hands back into most of the US and we are now in a pro-corporate US.

On Friday, I was officially 20 years old and I’m kind of in awe about that. Honestly, I’m still wondering how I made it this far without going completely insane, becoming completely anti-social (only partially anti-social) or losing my way. It kind of gives you an odd feeling inside that maybe I should have done more with my life. But looking at this logically, I have done a pretty fair amount with my life, which is something that I was not truly expecting. But now, I am drafting a plan for what I want to do with my life from here on out. There are a few things happening in my life which are kind of hush hush, but I am leaving around little hints and clues as to what they are around the net. However, I believe in honesty and I believe in truth. And I believe that I should tell you all what I am planning to do really soon.

Complete restructuring of my professional life - I am restructuring my freelance web design business (Rexanni) so that, in the near future, I can include print design and application development/design into the offering of services by Rexanni. While I am developing products right now which may not allow me to see immediate financial benefits, I am working to make all the sites that I am working on become profitable. Soon, we plan to sell THL.org premium memberships and t-shirts/other merchandise that people might like. This means that I have to start trying to reduce the cost in the payment processes because PayPal can be a pain in the ass about that, so I am looking to start finding a way to accept credit cards. And to do this, I’m going to have to rely on an Authorize.net payment gateway provider like Dharma Merchant Services. This means that I have to legally register Rexanni, LLC here in Texas as well (until I move out to Canada).

Complete reorganization of everything I own - I’m not an organized person and I truly admit this. My room is a hell hole, my files on my computer lack a true method of organization at times and the categories of my blog result in ugly permalinks. I am planning to move the blog over to a new domain name, create custom 301 redirections to where the posts will be, move Mint over and do a lot of other things so my new blog will be much cleaner to access. I’ve also toyed with the idea of continuing to post here while fading out of activity here and posting more and more at my new blog. But I do not truly believe that the blog title “The Darkest Evil” fits who I am, who I was nor who I want to be in the future. It was an inside joke that, with the benefit of hindsight, makes me look like a complete and evil jerk - even if some of the content is harmless and innocent. So, I need to find a way to transition my content, pagerank and other resources over to a new domain because I just finally started making money with Text Link Ads.

There are other things I need to do before my life can improve, but I have to do all these tasks one agonizing process at a time.

I am going to make a few statements about some things I’ve said in previous posts about my father. In past posts, I called my father a “con man” and in my rant against country music, I said a few things that may be interpreted wrong. I am going to retract my first statement and clarify the second. Now, first off, I know that my father isn’t a con man and while he used to do a few things that I didn’t really agree with, I had no right to say that. I am truly proud of him and how much he is improving in becoming a better person. While there are a few things that he says that still make me cringe a little, I know that the intent to be a good person is in his heart and I truly care for him and love him. He is not a con man and I believe that when I wrote that, I was kind of hurting at the time. Still, that does not excuse my actions or make them right. What I did was wrong, regardless.

As for the country music thing, that is not entirely true. I was in Texas and heard country music a lot. However, it was never so in my house. I never heard a note of country music while in the house or duplexes. My parents were more into classic rock, which can explain my repeated plays of such artists like Big Country, the Moody Blues, Jimmy Buffett, Sting and other such artists on Last.fm. Yes, I have a bit of my parent’s taste in music, so to be perfectly honest - they did not like country and neither did I. And I was never forced to listen to country music by any member of my family. Although while in the Windstar with my mom, she did play the radio and sometimes artists like Shania Twain would come on (no, I have no grievance with Shania Twain, I like the music of Shania Twain). So I was never really focibly exposed to terrible country music by my family. I want to make that exceptionally clear.

Well, I’ve been doing a number of things including working on the brand new THL.org and a few other secret projects that I have going on in the works. I have also been working on some heavy personal issues and I am hoping to move into the Houston core really soon. This would make it a lot easier to find more stable work (the freelance work I do is nice, don’t get me wrong, but I have to find more stable employment) and do a vast amount of other things that I have been meaning to do. So, I apologize that I haven’t really been posting much to the blog, I just have a lot on my mind at the moment.

Alright, in the past few days that I have been blogging, I have had quite a few personal developments. I am so delighted that everything is coming together and I am excited about my future now. In fact, I am hoping that these developments in my future (plus other, more private developments) will lead to my happiness or a plan to make me a bit more happy. Or at least, if I find myself, I may be able to live a more fulfilling life.

I re-discovered the meaning of Buddhism - I found out the reason why I became a Buddhist in the first place and I found out that I am way too critical of people with other faiths. Even still, I have also realized that Buddhism is not really a faith but yet, a set of rules on living better. Furthermore, they largely teach you how to live fuller, happier lives. I will elaborate on this later. So, I am going to try to overlook the evils of Christianity and just restate my love and compassion for it’s followers.

I re-discovered a love for my work - I have fallen into a design slump and I have felt like I was getting creatively emptied. But then, I took another look at how I’ve been doing things and I may very well be able to make a sustainable income once again. I am now re-inspired and re-fueled to do what I love and to love doing it. I am going to do whatever it takes to remain self-employed and save up as much as I can.

Those are the two areas that just clicked for me. I am going to explain them further in future posts, but now - I am working on a project that may bring me out of the poor house. I have been waiting for a job like this just so I can break even.

Before you read this, yes it is a gift me-me. And yes, I am writing this with the hopeful mentality that I may very well get something for my birthday. This is because I had to leave a lot of shit back in Canada and I had to bring the most minimal of stuff back to the United States, a bit of it being lost along the way. I am writing this for anyone who may be reading this who may want to send me a gift. Or some people who are guilty of doing something negative towards my Canadian Immigration and want to try to alleviate themselves of said guilt (looking at a few people). Having said that, I am going to continue on to the upcoming post.

My 20th birthday is coming up soon. In fact, I am going to be 20 on June 22nd of this year. So, I have decided to write this meme post to anyone who either knows me personally and may want to get me a gift. But, if you are a reasonably generous person and would like to get me something too, I am not going to complain about it. In fact, I’d actually be very happy that you did. But I digress.

I have compiled a list of stuff I want on Amazon.com. And yes, most of it is either development books, electronics or anime/manga. Well, let me explain myself. I left for Canada with a large amount of books, some DVDs and other things that I had purchased prior to leaving for Canada. When I came back to the States, I had come back with less then what I came in with. So, you can obviously see that I want to try to recoup some of what I lost back in the states.

There are a lot of things I’d like for my own personal usage. The first thing is an Apple Mighty Mouse, which I have been wanting for my laptop. And I want to have the wired version of the Mighty Mouse, not the bluetooth version. This is simply because of the fact that I don’t want to change the batteries in the damn thing every week or so. This would constitute a need for more batteries and with the way I use the mouse, that’s about how many batteries it would take. If the Mighty Mouse came with a docking station, I could see another reason why I would want it - but alas, no. It does not have a docking station so I cannot get the Bluetooth version of the Mighty Mouse.

Some things I’d really like a replacement copy of? Humm, well I would have to say that I would like a replacement copy of CSS Zen Garden by David Shea. Yes, that book really meant a lot to me and I’d really love to have a copy of it again. In anime and manga, I’d have to say a replacement copy of the Onegai Teacher anime boxset and manga books (I had volumes 1 and 2) would be something I’d really want. As for television show series, I would have to say that I want to have a boxset of Beavis and Butthead. However, this could easily be changed to Daria if the people at MTV would release a version of Daria for DVD. Of course, the movie I want is either Daria: Is It Fall Yet? or Daria: Is It College Yet?. But anyways, anything in my wishlist would be awesome to receive.

I am so afraid for Natalie’s wellbeing. It is not because she has gone off to Willis, Texas with her friend, Tori. And it is not considering the fact that she has an evil sister who steals her banking card in order to withdraw funds that she doesn’t deserve. No, the reason why I am afraid for Natalie is because she is still a Christian and she may remain a Christian no matter how much proof I can find to help Natalie break this harmful cycle. I want to be able to give Natalie factual reasons why Christ doesn’t exist and why he should not be worshipped. The god of the Bible is not good and neither was Jesus nor many other people in the Bible. In fact, I am so startled by this because I am strongly considering marrying Natalie and enjoying her as my wife. So, I want to make sure that before I get married - I am not jumping into a threesome with the evil God of the Bible.

Natalie is purely a victim of the disease known as Christianity. She still believes in the God of the Bible, Satan, Jesus Christ and the other pieces of shit in the Bible. This is a completely horrible thing to have to write because the Bible is completely and utterly repulsive. And I cannot believe in such an evil and disgraceful book. I cannot ethically teach my children that you need to follow the evil word of god in order to have eternal salvation/avoid going to hell. I cannot allow my loving Natalie to believe in such a thing and then go crazy and do something terrible to her children like the mother in the movie Carrie. I just cannot tolerate this because I am afraid that Natalie would remain one of those horrible Jesus freaks if I do not rectify the situation immediately.

I believe that once I break Natalie out of Christianity, she will be able to start enjoying life more and more with each passing day. I believe that we will be able to be a truly loving family and enjoy our lives together. I believe that we will be able to help teach our children about the evils of the Bible and of religion in general. I believe that morals and ethics are not derived from religion and thus, our children can be good people without belief in the God of the Bible. Natalie will be so much happier out of Christianity and I will be so proud of her once she realizes what a complete farce the Christian Bible is.

My girlfriend is going up to Willis to be with her friend Tori (or Toni, not sure about her name. I need to ask Natalie about this) for the weekend. But the cool thing about it is that I got to hang out with her for a few hours before she had to leave for Willis. Plus, I got to meet her friend Tori prior to her leave. I’m so happy that I got to spend some quality time with my Natty Cat. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and I hope to see her as soon as she gets back from Willis. However, work will prevent that simply on the virtue that I am going to be working on THL all throughout the weekend and most of next week too. So, you can understand my predicament, eh?.

When we got together, the first thing she did was get on the computer, as usual. Sometimes, I feel so ignored just because she likes to “check” her myspace, her e-mail and everything else AFTER I get there instead of before. Sometimes, this is preventable because she is (mostly) in the truck with me to pick me up from my house. So, she could have checked her myspace beforehand so we don’t have to go through that again and again and again. Yes, I know I don’t like it and I’ve made that very clear to her, but it’s very frustrating at times. At times, I just feel like I am being totally ignored by her.

Tori came here and she was a very fun person to talk with. Tori is a bit bigger than me & Natalie put together. In fact, I think you could fit a couple of Morgans in there too. But, she is Natalie’s best friend from secondary so the only cracks I made about her weight were “a linebacker would want your figure” and “well, I feel very comfortable about you protecting her from being hit on. No player would oppose someone who is big enough to be a player on Hockey Night in Canada”. And Tori was a fun person to be around - because she has a nice, playful attitude. Plus, she had a boyfriend that knocked her up and would not step up and take responsibility. I HATE people like that. It is my firm belief that if you do something, you should step up and do the right thing.

In fact, Natalie and Tori have a lot in common. They both have a bad taste in men and this is proven solely on the basis that they BOTH dated Bobby Moore. Now, I must ask you - how is that for insane? Bobby is one of the most ugly motherfuckers in the world and he is an asshole to boot. He torments the intellectuals in the school and is a general pain in the ass to everyone else. They were both talking about this while we were together. In fact, it got Natalie crying over all her previous boyfriends.

Natalie went up to the top bunk of the bunk bed above her computer to continue crying. I went up there to try to cheer her up and we got into a pillow fight with Tori. Then it turned into a pillow fight against me. I think I dodged pretty well because all the pills were centred around me once they’ve thrown them all. We had so much fun together and we all had so much fun together. So, essentially, I am going to miss my cute little Natty Cat but I really do hope she enjoys herself while she is in Willis.

After this, it was time to help Natalie pack. And when I said it was time to help her, I meant that only Tori could help her. This is due to the fact that I cannot enter her bedroom according to the rules of the house for boyfriends. But I’m just happy that the first year rule that boyfriends cannot be upstairs was waived for me. I’m happy that I am able to do some pretty amazing things with Natalie and possibly walk down the road of life with her. And yes, I do believe that we will be pretty happy together. Just as long as she doesn’t make me sleep on the couch (and yes, I am hoping that you are reading this, Natalie).

The OpenOffice.org development team finally releases a beta version of OpenOffice.org which does not require X11! One that is fully Aqua and it works and looks quite beautifully - even to the point where I would remove Microsoft Office and use OpenOffice.org exclusively. In fact, as soon as I have used it extensively enough, I am going to write a complete guide on the new OpenOffice.org for Mac. But I think I like the eye candy in Microsoft Office v. X better.

I like this because I have always been a big supporter of the OpenOffice.org platform. I just believe that Microsoft has too much control in the Office application stream and the OpenOffice platform will help to give people a choice and will give Microsoft a run for their money. But, to install the OpenOffice.org version that requires an installation of X11. To install X11, you would need your Mac OS start up disks - so people who lost their Mac OS Start up disks or people who have purchased a refurbished Mac from PowerMax will have a problem. So, this new OpenOffice.org will be easier to market to the average Apple user.

I am working to redesign the Darkest Evil so I can see what I can do to find out more about myself and I want to finish up Blackthorne. This redesign of my weblog includes a logo, a cool little printed version, a business card template and other things about the site. And this redesign hopefully gets me into design galleries such as Light on Dark. But I really hope that it gets a few people reading my site as I believe that everything I write about my life experiences can help people. In fact, even though some of it is really random, other things are really helpful to some. And with the podcast I am creating, I want to be able to promote the latest episode and still be able to avoid alienating my current readers.

Based on K2/Redoable - Yes, I am basing this on K2 (the great WordPress theme by Binary Bonsai) and Redoable (the great K2-derivation by Dean J. Robinson). So, I am already standing on the shoulders of very creative professionals and I believe that the people who have created K2 and Dean from Redoable have done a great job in creating a beautiful style for WordPress that plays so nicely with other plugins. So, basically, I want to build on these two themes and create something better. And yes, I do intend to release it to the public as “Blackthorne” a couple months after creating it (gotta test it out myself and be unique, you know?).

Better usage of space - I hate useless whitespace! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! This is why I am going to try to find a way to use my space on this blog better so you can see more information that I put on the web. In fact, I am working to link in my Facebook mini-fee, my Twitter feed, What I’ve recently bookmarked on del.icio.us and other information. In fact, I am working on this technology and to build a version of it for kylekorleski.com (will discuss later). But I believe that if I use space better, you will be able to get more information from this site. In fact, I am adding my tag cloud, my archives and other data.

Dark Design - Like my original plans, I am planning to make my site’s design dark. I love it and I believe that it would be awesome to create a dark design for my own blog. Dorkly Cute, Grace for Living and theanime.net are all getting lighter to medium toned designs but I want this site’s design to be very, very dark and beautiful. I love dark design in websites, I love dark clothing and I love darker coloured computers. In fact, I remember talking to my girlfriend about having black roses at our wedding, just because I thought that they would look awesome.

Well, I plan to be doing Karaoke again to some more of my favourite songs. Karaoke is really fun and I’ve never really had the courage to do it, but I guess if I do it and post it to the Internet, it will not be so bad. I mean, I’ve already posted a Karaoke version of “In a Big Country” by Big Country to Spymac so it shouldn’t be too much worse, right? Plus, I want to do this because after you’re done, it’s fun to sit back and watch it again before you upload it for the world to see. I am going to post links to all the Karaoke songs on the blog so you can keep track of them when they are updated. So, I am going to be doing Karaoke singing again and I hope that you all enjoy it. I know that I will.

I want to thank everyone for checking the blog. I really do appreciate everyone’s support. And I am happy that people are reading the blog, I’m happy that people are reading my new blog, Dorkly Cute. I’m also happy that everything is going so well. Everything is turning out to be well and I am working to make it so that everyone can be happy. And this is not just about the blog, but about my offline life as well. But I am going to explain what has happened in the last week so I can give everyone reading a little clarity on the future of this blog and of my life. So, I feel this is a very important article to be read if you pay attention to this blog.

First, I would like like to thank the community of readers in this blog. Everyone who comments and everyone who tries to encourage what I do really does help. I’d like to think that the people who read this blog on a timely basis do so because they know that what is written here will help others and is written with the best of intentions. They read the posts thoroughly and try to see the hidden meanings between the lines. This includes a certain faction of the opposition too and they do what they can to read far into what I have written on numerous subjects. So, I would like to thank both the supporters and the opposition. Because even if they don’t agree with what I write, the important thing is it gets them thinking and once they have begun thinking, they may very well cease to oppose my writing.

Second, I would like to thank my lovely little Natty Cat. We are back together and I couldn’t be happier. I hope to stay with her as long as possible and one day, get married to her. The reason why I would like to get married to her is because I love her with all that I have. I cannot express in words how happy I am with her, and I cannot be happier. She is so willing to move with me to Portland when I move next month. And this is awesome, because I couldn’t live without her.

So, please forgive me for not posting in the last few days. I’m still thinking of a few more posts and I’m working on posting my experiences with Alberta Bible College and the 11 points why Alberta Bible College is a horrid scam. I want to expand on this because it can help people.

Yesterday, I got a telephone call from a good friend of mine. For privacy’s sake, I am going to leave his name out of it. However, he called me because he got a call from the evil people at Alberta Bible College. They asked Gary to tell me to take down what I have written about Alberta Bible College. Much like other kinds of con artists, the directors at Alberta Bible College want to remove the proof that they are involved in fraudulent activity. They do not want the truth to be broadcasted that I was screwed and lied to at Alberta Bible College. They are afraid that what I have written will actively alert people of the corruption at Alberta Bible College. I will evaluate why this is a con and what I intend to do.

In the business of conning people - Alberta Bible College is in the business of conning people. They charge $4000+ per year for a worthless degree (see my last point about the “degrees” that Alberta Bible College provides) and other fees are tacked on as well. These fees are generally Student Body fees, chore fees and other such fees which cannot be justified by the staff. Alberta Bible College is dedicated to trying to charge you out the ass. Plus, they charge you for new books and refuse to allow you to purchase your own books. This means that Alberta Bible College is forcing you to allow them to profit to get your text books. Alberta Bible College is basically all about dollars and cents.

Required labour - Students are required to complete a weekly chore at Alberta Bible College. This can range from pulling weeds to vacuuming the classrooms. They are not shy about taking your money, but they are more than willing to make you their labour staff. So, Alberta Bible College enforces a threat of having to pay $35 per missed hour of chore work. These can really add up and Alberta Bible College often fudges the books and “loses” the chore claims by students. Therefore, students are often forced to pay more than they actually owe the college. This creates a lot of problems for the students as it takes time out of their “studies” or their social life. They are essentially trapped into working for the college, for free.

Treatment of International Students - Despite their willingness to rob people out of money, they only hire 3 of their International Students. These “jobs” that the International Students get are often under-paid and hovering around the minimum wage that a student makes. The faculty try to find any and all opportunities to exploit International Students, including threats of having them deported. The International Students are heavily watched and some, who are from third world countries, may receive worse treatment. And they are often told that if they speak against the college, they will risk deportation. They often work International Students long hours, without breaks or rest. Some students are unable to go home until 11pm at night. And even then, they still have homework to do. After that, they have to go to class at 6 or 7 in the morning.

Churches work with them to get free labour - Often, there are churches in the Calgary area that work with Alberta Bible College. Often, in exchange for promoting Alberta Bible College, they provide free, required labour to the church. This is labelled as Practical Ministry Labs or PMLs. These instances of free labour are required in order to get the “degrees” specified as the last point. They are not able to skirt the rules on this and the school has it’s own, dedicated, Practical Ministries Lab director. This person makes sure that churches are promoting Alberta Bible College and then, issues and authorizes Practical Ministries Labs. The church then rates the quality of the labour provided to it and then submits that rating to the PML director.

Unable to get government benefits - Students of Alberta Bible College are unable to get certain government benefits that are offered to students that go to a real college. Like, there is no ombudsman to complain to once you have found that Alberta Bible College has wronged you. You cannot get an off-campus work permit from Citizenship and Immigration Canada like you would if you went a real university or college. Furthermore, you cannot get a discounted bus pass from Calgary Transit if you go to Alberta Bible College.

Random Psychiatric Evaluations - Many times, Alberta Bible College will send students to a psychiatrist at random. You do not have any choice to decline and you are pressured to go. This is even more so if you are an International student. You do not get to choose which doctor you go to, either. The reason for this, is because this psychiatrist works with Alberta Bible College to provide confidential information to them. Since the session was paid for by them, they try to pressure you that they will charge you for the session if you complain to the government. Often times, the psychiatrist will tell you that you have to come back again and again. This is because they want to get any data they can use against you.

Restriction of the freedom of speech - You are told that exercising your rights to freedom of speech are wrong. Essentially, the staff at Alberta Bible College try to control you and make you into a tool they can use. If you run a blog and you discuss unsavory things that Alberta Bible College has done, you can expect to be found out by the staff at Alberta Bible College. You are told that it is wrong to discuss Alberta Bible College in that light and people from the college threaten you. Often, it is with removal from the school or with psychiatric evaluations. Most times, you are forbidden to enter the campus and they start calling your references for more data on you.

Your roommates - Often, Alberta Bible College staff will call your roommates into their office and threaten them with psychiatric evaluations or restrictions of freedoms. They will try to get them to make you paranoid by doing things that would drive you up the wall. Like, your roommate will often filthy up the area you are living in so you cannot stand living there. In fact, I remember that Dusten started going out with Miranda and he started to try to stink up the basement suite. In fact, he made it so I was evicted from my basement suite and I was robbed of half my security deposit. That brings me to my next point.

Landlords - Often, Alberta Bible College will try to have you living with other ABC students and with people working at ABC. My basement suite was in the basement of Rick and Lynn Rehn, a couple who are on the Alberta Bible College Board of Trustees. They are also alumni of Alberta Bible College and they do profit from Alberta Bible College and it’s victims. Sometimes, ABC tries to coordinate things so that you can be sent to a psychiatric evaluation, so they can test your limits and what you will do in order to protect your status in college. If they cannot see a gain out of you, they will encourage the landlord that you are a criminal and you should be evicted. You are made a pariah in your landlord’s and your roommate’s eyes. This is often why my blog is attacked by my ex-roommate.

Removal from Alberta Bible College - When the staff at Alberta Bible College believe that you are unable or unwilling to relinquish more money to them, or they believe that you are costing them money - they will consider removing you from their programmes. Before this happens, you are often called into the office of the director and told that you are in danger of being removed. Sometimes, they may demand to restrict your freedom of speech or other freedoms in order to control you. At others, they will request that you go to a series of psychiatric evaluations. They evaluate the data based on these actions and if you are not able to make more money for them, you are removed from Alberta Bible College. The staff will often try to justify themselves and make up stories, but often enough - you will be blamed for your removal. You did not make them money, so they do not want you at ABC.

They provide “Religious” degrees - The degrees they provide are designed to bring more of the God delusion into your mind and influence you into believing the lies about Jesus. They also teach you how to get other people to believe in Jesus Christ. At the end of your education, you would get a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education. These degrees are worth less then the paper they are printed on. Once you see what a scam Christianity is, Alberta Bible College has already made their money. You cannot use your BRE for anything other than christian purposes. So, your BRE’s worthlessness is defined for you then and there. Most other types of degrees can get you respect and recognition with employers. But a Bachelors of Religious Education can’t be used for any legitimate purpose, really.

In a couple of months, I am going to move to Portland, Oregon. After extensive research and careful thought, I think that Portland would be a good place to set up my business. The reason why, is because my business is not doing so well here in Texas. In fact, it would be a lot easier to do business in Portland then it would be to try to do business in Houston. There are several reasons why but I am going to try to explain the most pertinent to my current situation.

I’ve always disliked Texas - People who have known me will tell you (if they remember) that I was hellbent to get out of Texas. And honestly, who wouldn’t be? I’ve always disliked Texas and the humid heat is just one of the many reasons why I hate it. I want to move to a more northernly area.

I have rarely had a white Christmas - It rarely snowed in Texas. And when it did, it usually wasn’t much. In fact, I remember it snowing at Jack in the Box once but that was it. I will now be able to have a white Christmas every year and while there are pains that come with a white Christmas, you cannot deny the joy it brings just to play in the snow. I loved a lot of it when I was in Calgary and now, I am going to be moving into another Northernly area where it is likely to snow. And because I will be living in an apartment and I don’t have personal effects that would need to be shoveled out, I won’t have to shovel snow outside. Nice.

Public Transit is much better - In Portland, the public transit service (dubbed Tri Met) is actually better than the Metro system that Houston has or Calgary Transit. It may take a bit of getting used to (based on what I saw when I got off the Amtrak) but Calgary Transit took a lot of getting used to as well. And once I got used to it, I was able to use it more and more effectively. Plus, it runs to Beaverton and Gresham as well. This is really a good thing because it would allow me to get in touch with a lot more people and do a lot more work for other businesses. Also, Portland has it’s own airport, Amtrak station and Greyhound station. This give it a much stronger transportation infrastructure.

Cold calling would be much more effective - I love to cold call local businesses. People in local businesses tend to pay a bit more because they want to fuel the local economy and help keep local businesses alive. Plus, I love getting to meet my clients and they usually find me to be a very likable and personable guy. In fact, every time I met with Nicholi at the Tim Hortons in Crowfoot was fun.

Lots of cool people - The people who run Panic, Janrain, Swift Communications and a lot of other cool little businesses all have shop in Portland. There is also this really cool Internet cafe that I found when I was in Portland and even the personnel at the Bank of America branch in Portland were nicer. In fact, there were these people who were hanging out and smoking around the Greyhound station and I found that they were some of the most helpful people in Portland. Really nice place.

Ability to find a good data centre - If you are looking to set up your own dedicated server, you HAVE to live near it if you are thinking of going colocation. When I get my Xserve, I plan to have it colocated in Portland. This way, if something is fucked up, I don’t have to worry about it much. I can do everything I can to resolve the problem as quickly as humanly possible. This means I will only suffer a minimal amount of downtime while I cure whatever is ailing the server.

A stronger energy - There was just this energy about Portland that made me feel like I could do so much there and yet, I would not have done enough. I loved this energy and took a while to explore the city and tried to get things done. And I did manage to do a lot in Portland, with luggage in tow. Imagine how much better it would be if I didn’t have 4 pieces of luggage that I had to carry around.

Nicer people - Generally, people were a lot nicer in Portland than I would have expected. One thing I loved about Portland was how nice the people were. I talked with a number of people and I asked each one the same stupid question of getting around the city. They were nice enough to stop and help me. Now, that is just plain awesome. I can’t wait to live there and who knows? Maybe I might just like living there and forget all about my immigration to Canada? Not likely, but it does seem like a nice enough place.

Not everything is a chain - One thing I’ve noticed about Portland’s downtown area, it doesn’t have a lot of chain restaurants. Maybe the city is like that too. Of course, that’s probably not the case, but hey - one can dream. Plus, chain restaurants are not all bad. I really LOVE Taco Bell and I was very happy when I found one in Calgary. Of course, it only stayed open until 3pm and it was in the Transcanada Tower

Oregon seems more environmentally friendly - I heard that in Oregon, there are environmental laws that make it so there cannot be self-service pumps. I can see the logic behind this and I fully respect it. I mean, it is awesome when there is a governmental level that actually gives a shit about the environment. Now all we have to do is start getting the Oregon government to start using Hemp-based paper and it would be all kinds of awesome. ^_^

Oregon isn’t homophobic - Okay, this doesn’t affect me directly, but it just feels wrong when the Government tries to tell you who you can or can’t love. Or how about when they tell you who you can or can’t marry? There are still sodomy laws around but fortunately, they are dying down. And I believe this is a step in the right direction, because there are so many gay couples that are perfect for each other. And to deny them the right to marriage is just wrong.

Today, I got my head bitten off for using my own name on my blog. Can you believe that? Their argument was that it was making problems for the family. But nevertheless, I will continue to publish my content under my name. There are several reasons why I must do this but I find it a double standard. I mean, my Aunt Lori continues to publish articles in the Sacramento Bee under her maiden name and this person has barely said a word about that (as far as I know). But while I do share a last name with others, Kyle Korleski is my name. A name that was given to me by my parents.

I have a right to use my name when I write content. I have a right to use my name on this blog or anywhere I wish. I should not be put down for using my own name because my name is just that. Do I share a last name with others? Yes. I believe in the same way that I share my first and middle name with others. But what I believe is that people should retain the basic right to use their name in any manner of their choosing, regardless of anyone else’s objections.

Regardless, Kyle Korleski is my name. I did not choose that name, it is the one that I have been given by my parents. And yet, this person blames me for using my real name when I post on my blog. In fact, if I can recall, my mother told me once that my father gave me my name. I was named for one of my father’s friends. My blog contains content that is relevant about me. It is put up so people who want to know more about me can find out more about me. And I am very proud of what I write. I stand by it because it is the truth.
