Hotel Stay: InTown Suites - Houston, Texas, United States
Location: Houston, Texas
Price: USD$500 or so for 2 weeks
Theft: A couple of books and a huge roll of TP from Fiesta.
Rating: 2/5
I stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks and I have to say that it was truly… an experience.
First off, it was not a well off part of the Houston area, there was a Jack in the Box that I frequented, a grocery store named “Fiesta”, it was close to the Mall and a Circuit City and most importantly, it had internet access ^_^.
Okay, the first problem. It rained a lot here. No kidding! I swear, my steel-toed shoes are crusted with so much mud. I tried washing them out in the tub but it wouldn’t do much good as the next day, it would start raining and I would be walking through mud.
Also, the neighbours nextdoor decided to pound on the wall a lot. They were an older married couple and they were usually watching television when I went over there to begin yelling at them.
I didn’t go to the mall, but thank god I didn’t because I would have had to put up with the Red White and Blue 4th of July sale crap that Americans love. I don’t see how ANYONE could be proud of this country or love it if they would just elect some jackass to run it.
Why did I have to steal the roll of TP from Fiesta? Well, unbenownst to me, the hotel would not give me another roll of toilet paper after I used up the first roll so I had to go down the street to steal some from the Housekeeping cart. Sorry ^_^;;
The most irritating thing in this hotel was that the Internet was NOT wireless but it was, in fact, wired. Fortunately, I brought my own cable but unfortunately, that cable was too short. It kept coming out of the computer because it was like 3ft.
So the morals of the story? Never travel to Texas, always be sure to bring a longer Ethernet cord and remember not to stay with InTown Suites unless you want to take your own trip down to Fiesta.
