I am not obsessed, I am an Apple evangelist!

A girl that I very well may be dating soon stated “r u apple obsesing again????”. I playfully agreed and then she said “wow…..it must b on ur brain like 24/7 i bet u dream about it”. I became worried that she may have misunderstood so I denied it and needless to say, she wasn’t entirely convinced. So I feel I should state that I am not truly Apple obsessed, I am just an Apple evangelist. So I have decided to write a little blurb about Apple evangelism and how it differs from obsession.

It is no surprise that I am the President and Interim CEO of a web 2.0 company (15art, Inc.). It’s is understandable then that I would have a bit of interest in what hardware I am packing. That’s why I am interested in the latest Apple news and I pay attention to cool Apple tricks and modifications like Witch. But obsessed? Not really. I use Apple products religiously and I believe in the power they hold. I have personal knowledge that Macintosh computers are much easier to use than PCs based on the fact that Apple has made it much easier to perform many tasks. Plus, there are some cool little tricks you can do on the Mac and more are being found as time passes.

I have other interests and other things to do and I would say that there are people that are more obsessed about the Macintosh than me. The people who pay to go to MacWorld Expo or WWDC. The people who refresh Mac blogs like The Unofficial Apple Weblog and Silvermac often. So I would say that I am not obsessed, I am simply an Apple evangelist. I promote Apple’s quality products because they are wonderfully built and designed. I do actively practice other activities and research, such as research on Dharma, Zen Buddhism, Yoga, Tae-Kwon-Do, my genealogy and other subjects.
