Post #200 - Time for some retrospect.
Okay, this is going to be a VERY long post so be aware of that while you are reading, okay? This post is about happiness, hope, depression, clarity and the future.
Okay, first off - this is the 200th post on my blog ^_^. Yes, I am pretty happy about that.
I’d also like to talk about a new part of the blog: Fuck off and Die Thursdays. I think this is a very important addition to the blog and wish that this WAS a thursday. Ah, well, you’ll get the see the first one of this site in only 4 days ^_~
Here is an actual list of things I’d like to accomplish with this site (came up with that much in about 10 minutes):
- New blog design.
- Video Blog
- Podcast
- Getting hits that were not the result of some blog surfing site.
- Posting all my Articles and Guides here
- Posting some Manga Art on the main site
- Getting listed on 9rules (hey, it could happen ^_^)
Furthermore, I’d like to to thank MidnightPyro from the vB Fans staff for making my final decision to stay at vB Fans for me:
Dear teamrocketman,
You have received a new private message at vBulletin-Fans.com from Pyro, entitled “You have received an infraction at vBulletin-Fans.com”.
This is the message that was sent:
***************
Dear teamrocketman,You have received an infraction at vBulletin-Fans.com.

Insulted Other Member(s)Kyle,
While you’ve made many posts at our site and are a valued member of our community, I believe you have stepped over the line with this post in your blog.In it, you state that the vBfans administration has “stepped over the line” and that for some reason we’re treating you improperly. You also include information about how to get away from a community in your post. While I understand this is your personal blog, you have a link to it in vBulletin Fans. Your blog seems to be slandering vBulletin fans and the administration, something that is not appropriate especially in a blog linked in your signature.
If you have an issue with a vBulletin Fans staff member, please PM them in the future and work it out that way instead of bringing this into the public.
If you wish to discuss this matter further, please PM Floris or I and we’ll get things worked out and possibly reverse this infraction early.
Regards,
-MidnightPyro

Yeah, that list isn’t too long but it’s not complete either.
K said: This was not too long. Your list will keep you occupied.

I am sorry to see you leave Kyle, I really am. You were an active member on vBFans and always offered valuable insights into our discussions.
However, I think the series of events that lead up to this predicament were grossly overreacted to. I wish you could have stayed around without posting this one-sided account of the situation to a public forum like this blog. I have no doubt it would have been resolved in a way all parties would find satisfactory.
I feel the need to gracefully disagree with your views on vBFans and remind all readers of this blog to remember that this is a one-sided, bias recollection. We are not evil admins out to get people.

Hey Kyle,
It is a bit of a surprise to me to read your blog and seeing you take this further and out of proportion. In my eyes all that happened was feedback from our community members about a few of your posts - so we gave you a warning and requested you to just discuss other topics- instead of causing trouble. The response from you was an accusation of libel and the previous blog posts and running away from our web site - even inviting others to stay away from us as far as possible.
After your previous blog posts I no longer feel the need to explain situations to you, or to try and resolve the matter. I just wish it would have gone differently, because all that vBulletin-Fans.com is about, is have a great place for vB software fans to have fun.
I’ve heard you are moving to Canada, I wish you a great migration and good luck. It is a fantastic country and I am sure you will have a great time. And after building up my blog on mrfloris.com I am looking forward to the changes you are making on yours. They are a motivation to keep working on my own blog site.
Be well,
Floris

I openly admit that most everything that is in this blog is based on opinion and leans slightly to my beliefs. However, here is how it went down:
1. Floris deliberately insulted me. You can view this at http://www.vbulletin-fans.com/showpost.php?p=153426&postcount=38. He did it with the intent of defamation.
2. Floris at no time, retracted his statements nor apologised.
3. Pyro gave me an official warning, instead of apologising on the behalf of the staff and administration at vB fans.
4. Floris banned me from the IRC channel
5. I was banned from the fora. (my old profile: http://www.vbulletin-fans.com/member.php?u=3474 ).
The administration of a fora should remain as one. You can’t just insult members of the fora, especially members that have been with the fora a long time and made numerous contributions. I highly disapprove of the methods used and the actions taken by the staff at vB fans and advise any community leader never take those actions. To run a community you need to be accountable for your wrongs. Unfortunately, this is not the belief over at vB.nl and will be it’s eventual demise.
