Trackbacks - a benefit and a curse
I have decided to start using the trackback feature of my blog. Why? Well, there are several reasons to this theory.
- The feature is built in. No escaping it, so why not use it?
- Trackbacks are great for your Technorati rating. Plus, if you are like me, you like going into your WordPress administration panel and seeing that there are more people linking to your blog. Nice ^^.
- It gives the authour of the post where your link is going to appear that SOMEONE is paying attention to their blog. It’s usually very uplifting to Trackback.
Of course, there is always for trackbacks to be abused, but if you have WordPress (great blogging software, must say), you should use Akismet. It is very successful and I’ve had no probs with it.
So rev up those trackbacks everyone!

The trackbacks on my WordPress blog have been messed up for the past few months. That made painfully that I was disconnected from the blogosphere in another way as well.
People didn’t automatically know when I linked to them, wrote about them. People like to know when someone talks about them. Sometimes it was way too many to personally stop by to tell each one.
Some folks probably still don’t know.
