WordPress 2.1 unmet expectations

I expected a lot from the WordPress 2.1 release. I expected a larger base of compatibility with my existing plugins. I expected ! And of course, the WordPress programme needs a facelift and I am getting too impatient to wait for Matt to integrate the Shuttle project into the official WordPress releases. I think Blackthorne is going to have to include a release for the WordPress Admin Control Centre. It is going to be a project based on the beautification of the WordPress Administration Control Centre. Of course, this will not run alongside the official release of Blackthorne and it will be made public.

Of course, there is still much to do if I hope to get Blackthorne ready by next month. I am aiming for mid-Febuary but it doesn’t seem like that is going to work. And maybe early march for public release of the Blackthorne WP-Admin. Of course, Blackthorne will include a special theme for printing (Blackthorne Print). There is still much work to be done and I hope to get it done pretty soon.

I really couldn’t believe they didn’t do anything to the WP UI. That’s getting to be pretty old.

Yeah. I hear that Shuttle should be integrated into WordPress. But I thought it would happen with 2.1 so I kinda got a little disappointed. Of course, we both know this didn’t happen so I am going to take matters into my own hands.
