Can’t Rely on Bank of America in an Emergency

You know, it’s quite funny that one of the most successful banks in the United States, and the world, has problems with serving it’s personal clients. Wait, that’s not funny at all. I think it’s pretty pathetic, personally. What am I talking about? I called Bank of America today asking them to give me access to $200 that I have in a savings account with them and they refused to help me. Some call centre associates were just terribly unhelpful. And none of them were competent nor willing to listen so they could help me with the problems that I was having. (more…)

Businesses, learn to pick up the phone!

I hate calling the customer service department of a business. Generally, it means being transferred to the right person/department/whatever more than once, hopefully getting the support you need and tolerating that horrible hold music and “hold advice” that they give. I am going to talk to you about a couple of my pet peeves in how a business runs and hopefully, this will inspire you to run your call centre in a more efficient manner. And know that until I can afford to take these measures, I am not going to run a call centre. In fact, I only give my number out to clients or possibly prospective clients. (more…)

Possibly working on a content writing job

I think I may be getting a content writing job with eleven2 soon. For those of you who don’t know, eleven2 is a hosting company that I used to be a customer of in late 2005 and is run by my friend from High School, Rodney Giles. I mean, it’s great to get a job that I can do from abroad. A little extra cash in my pocket and toward my upcoming marriage to Becca. On the surface, this seems like a great opportunity and it is something that I would love to do. But the thing about this job is - do I want it? Can I live with myself writing the sales and support content. Possibly. Let’s look at the facts, shall we? (more…)

Okay, so I called Apple (I am posting this at a local computer store) and basically it will take a few days for me to get my AC adapter. So I should be back on early next week. So stay smexy, m’kay?

No laptop for a little while

Okay, so the magnetic power adapter that came with my Apple MacBook Pro is having a bit of a problem so for a while, there may not be any updates to this blog. I will work hard to get a replacement power adapter. I apologize fully to anyone who actually read this blog but fear not because I am going to be on the phone with Apple and hopefully - they will send me a brand new power adaptor. They should, I mean, this really should not have happened.
