Talking with Mr. Pringle today got me thinking about how well the school takes freedom of speech. The college is actually very hypocritical and I know at least one person that sees this as well. My blog is a mind dump, more or less. You can write about the things that are going on in your life and it helps you feel much better. When comments come, it makes you feel that you are not alone in the struggle that is life. It is a slice of my life that not everyone sees and they get to view the world that I live in a little differently.
I don’t blog about anything, or share opinions, that I wouldn’t feel happy talking about up on a stage in front of friends and strangers. This is why I am not anonymous nor do I wish to be. My name IS Kyle Korleski (no, that is not a pen name) and I live in Calgary, Alberta for the time being (if I were to move, it’d definitely be to Halifax or Vancouver). I have a loud, outspoken attitude that some people find to be very acidic. I’d love to be stopped and told how much my blog rocks/sucks. I love writing this blog because it gives me a chance and a forum in which to vent my anger, disgust and discontentment with the world, while at the same time celebrating the wonderful things that happen in my life. It is very nice to actually get comments on this blog, and no, the viagra spam comments do not count in this. (more…)

Okay, I have a couple of things to say before we get to the meat and potatoes of this post. First, I am going to make my website exclusively into a blog. It seems to be about the only thing I have time for with college and what not. When I get to integrating a gallery of my own artwork, I will do so - but not now. As for a portfolio site, well, I am thinking about making a wordpress add-on to handle that aspect of it.
Secondly, I am completely moving this site off of my ASO Lifetime account tomorrow evening. It is going to be on MediaTemple permanently so that my friend over at Sata Andagi can have his space. I am REALLY sorry about delaying this dude, you have got to believe me. So, there may be a point or two where you cannot access my blog. Also, it is being moved to a new domain so that might make things a bit more interesting. (more…)

I am so happy that one of my favourite discussion boards is going to be reopening to the public on Tuesday ^_^. I will make 100% sure to be the first to make a post on it when it reopens. So, Floris, mf and all the rest of you - watch out for my fastest fingers ^_~.

Okay, I should make it a point right now that it is highly unwise to install Internet Explorer in any instance and it is unwise to use Internet Explorer when you have so many other viable options (Firefox, Mozilla, Opera and Netscape to name a few) no matter what Operating System you use. And, well, beta software is more often than not, unstable so you might want to cautiously install Firefox 2.0 Beta if you are daring enough. (more…)

Microsoft filters out any MSN messages containing “download.php” or “gallery.php”. The messages are silently discarded without any indication being given that they have been blocked. To see a list of legitimate URLs that are now unable to be sent through MSN, put allintitle:download.php into Google. Many are Free Software downloads.

The first Windows Live product to leave beta status globally will be released tonight by Microsoft. Windows Live Messenger spent just six weeks in public beta. We reviewed most of the features available now when the beta launched.
Most notable are the inclusion of voice calls through the interface and dedicated hardware, offline messaging and an easy system for file sharing.
After years of ridicule by people awaiting the release of Vista and Microsoft’s general reputation for painfully slow development, the release from beta status of Live Messenger may be the first sign of a serious shift in operations in this new, post-Gates era. When it was announced on Thursday that Gates would be giving up his position as Chief Technology Architect to former CTO Ray Ozzie, Live was discussed as the major direction for the company in the future. To be honest, I never thought some people would go THIS far to keep me in the states.
I will state right now: I do not plan to leave my intent to move to Canada. No MySpace petition or anything that frivolous could stop me. The only thing in my way of becoming a Canadian is the CIC.
I would report it to the MySpace.com team but I find this too hilarious to report. I would like to see how far this person is willing to go along with their cherade. However, they did place a picture that makes fun of Stephen Harper and as such, I must contact the office of the Prime Minister.
