It would be nearly impossible to compete as an unestablished and independent web developer/blogger in southern England because of the ridiculously high cost of living. IMHO, moving there without a good 'company' job is a guaranteed way to bankrupt yourself. - Do you have a web design and/or advertising portfolio online? - How many unique hits does your site get (i.e. plot your 6 month history of stats)? - How many RSS subscribers do you have? - Do you have any demographic information about your site users? - What do your technorati stats show? - How do you feel about adult-content ads?
