I’m not going to sign a god damn thing!
It is VERY possible that I might have to wind up finding a temporary place where I won’t have to sign a lease. You see, I can’t afford an apartment AND leave for the US immediately. Furthermore, I want to save as much money as possible before going to the United Kingdom. So - do you recommend any place where I wouldn’t have to sign a lease and can stay for 10 days because I may be going to London sooner than I think. Of course, my exact date and time of arrival in the United Kingdom is still dependant on how quickly I can get work, air fare and other such provisions. But I want to be with Becca as soon as possible and I would like to be in London before the first of June. And of course, while web design positions are preferred above all else, I will not turn down a Customer Service position as long as it gets me into the United Kingdom quicker.
Of course, I have to have a bank account in the states before I leave to attain certain benefits like direct deposit services. Plus, HSBC will allow me to EASILY transfer the bank account over from the United States to the United Kingdom. Of course, I am going to evaluate whether or not it would be a good idea to get a HSBC banking account or if I could just keep the account I have in the states. HSBC would very likely be able to provide me with much better service since they have offices in London and in other venues around the world. Of course, the entire idea of being stranded like I currently am is not appealing at all. But having some assistance in these matters is not a bad thing. I’ve noticed 2 HSBC branches here in Calgary since I’ve moved.
And of course, I might have to sign other documents when I return to the states. And of course, I might want to get a new ID card, preferably in the state I will be living in when I get back to the states. I am not sure where my Texas ID card is but I know for a fact that I lost it here in Canada. Which was sad because that ID card number was really easy to remember. Plus, I want to make sure that I am living near a place where I can get other such documents like pre-authorization to enter the United Kingdom.

A Polish friend was just sent to Iraq. Poland requires a minimum 12-month military service for all men. The good news is they will pay you some zloty (it sounds like you need the money).
Just so you are up on the latest UK jargon… A person behaving in a silly, idiotic, stupid, careless, incoherent, or dismissive manner would be called a plonker.
