The Getsumen Toheki Mina torrent

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Basically, I wrote a post about Getsumen Toheki Mina a while ago and it’s been hit by people wanting to get the torrent for Getsumen Toheki Mina. I apologise if you feel cheated or deceived but I could not find any other torrents until today. Well, I’ve found about two Getsumen Toheki Mina torrents and I’ve included the links to the fan subbing groups below. (Shameless visit tactic for those using RSS readers or just reading the front page: you’ll have to view the full post.) (more…)

First Impressions: Getsumen To Heiki Mina

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Okay, so far, I have not been able to find a .torrent for the subbed/raw version but I do like what I have been seeing on numerous fora. So far, I hear that it does go a bit too fast, as if we knew all the circumstances prior to it. Well, hell’s fire, this isn’t Bleach! It isn’t THAT simple! And besides, the only thing I know about Getsumen To Heiki Mina is that it was based off of a fictional anime from Densha Otoko and you can only find figurines from it in Akihabara. Trust me, I know. I found several varieties in Akihabara that you can’t simply find on eBay. (more…)

Getting more than my fair share of crap

Saturday, November 25th, 2006

Okay, so the day of the DOA meeting, I walk into Words and Pictures and lo and behold - my Green Green DVDs came in. The problem? I ordered them 2 months ago from Words and Pictures and I got them when I got back from Fall Ministry Experience from Amazon.ca. In fact, he made me pay for them with my store credit from those Dungeons and Dragons guidebooks that I returned. WTF?!? So, these DVDs are going back to Amazon.ca since Rob won’t allow me to get a refund at his store. Yeah, from now on I am going to use Amazon.ca to purchase all my anime stuff because Words and Pictures sucks. (Miranda directed me toward this store, so what should I expect?)

Also, I finally moved my site over to MediaTemple. Yeah, I know - I should have done it sooner. I started the process to give Barry my web space so I hope he can forgive the latency of this. Just in case you don’t know, I will fill you in on all the details. Barry runs an Azumanga Daioh fan site called Sata Andagi and a less important site called ThoughtDump.net. Now, normally, I would just give this away to someone through some sort of contest but this guy is on 1&1 web hosting so he kinda got my sympathies on this. (fyi: 1&1 is evil)

When I went to my Post Office box downtown, I found out that I forgot my P.O. Box keys. So I had to get the nice Post Office woman to get my mail for me. Appearantly, my Bleach Original Sound Tracks came in. ^_^ But unfortunately, I had to pay customs fees on one of the CDs, just because it was not correctly classified. It wasn’t too bad though, only about $6.00 or something like that. I wonder what I will have to pay when my books come in from Alibris or my NWN2 Limited Edition DVD comes in from GAME in the UK.

So, after that ordeal, I trudged to Meagan and Matt’s place to watch CSI. So, this entails taking the C-Train from downtown to Brentwood and taking a #20 Northmount bus to the shopping centre that encompasses Safeway, CIBC, Shell, a 7-Eleven, a PetroCanada and a few other places. The trudge up to Meagan and Matt’s house from the bus was fierce as they lived several blocks away, completely barred from the bus. The weather was brutally cold and the streets were completely dark (local time: 7pm). When I finally make it to their house, I am greeted with the promise of Lasagna and about 1 hour of CSI.

Today, I leave my warm, comfortable bed for the cold Calgary weather that doesn’t appear to be getting any better and make my way to ABC to talk with Mr. Pringle. Appearantly, I am to blame because my roommate is a liar and my landlords were douche bags. I don’t understand why this is and I am not quite sure why it is that everyone at that college wishes to bully me. It feels at times that I am helpless in my struggle. It feels as if that the faculty (Mr. Pringle and Mr. Frasier) will not stop their assault against me. I am growing terribly tired of this and I wish that I could just escape…

Moving out and Sata Andagi moving in

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

Effective the 3rd of November, I should be living near the Chinook C-Train station. Not too far away from a mall, just in the event that I need to do some shopping. ^_~

Also, I am moving out of this ASO Lifetime Plan that I have. I am moving into a shiny new account with (mt) MediaTemple. When I am fully moved, you should see the difference. Of course, when I move out - I am not just going to waste this ASO lifetime account. No, I am going to give it to the site Sata Andagi and it’s primary site, ThoughtDump.net. It took me a lot of thought when deciding who I should give this to but in the end, the choice was obvious. After all, he is still on the crappy 1and1 web hosting service so I couldn’t just let him stay on their services. That would make me cold. Well, colder.

I assure you that there will be NO downtime on the site while moving. True that the name servers will take a little while to propagate correctly so inserting comments into posts within the small window might not work so well. Well, I am rigging up a little solution that will help me converge those little orphan comments during the name server change so no comment is left behind.

For those of you that are very tech-savvy - it’s going to be a WordPress plugin and I am going to issue it for free. I think a lot of people could find a use for it, especially those of us who move hosts/domains a lot.

I am also doing a lot of maintenance work on the site, including the new design. I have it nearly done and I am waiting until tomorrow or so to know what logos I have to include in my layout. I am going to see about getting MediaTemple sponsourship. But I assure you of this - you are going to LOVE the new thekyle.ca, or at least hate it less then you already do.

Saw a prelude of Kanon by Kyoto

Friday, September 15th, 2006

I know I spoke of this earlier on in the year but if you are a long time reader of this blog, you’d know that I’d probably post about this again once the date arrives. Basically if you don’t know what Kanon is, I’d highly recommend that you’d get a copy to play if you have a Japanese PlayStation 2.

This version of Kanon has GREAT animation, new music and lots of cool new things. Basically, it’s a lovely animation and I hope to have the priveledge to see it really soon.
If you want to see the original series, you can find it’s torrents here. If Bittorrent just isn’t an option, you can also purchase a set of DVDs of Kanon and a non-region specific DVD player. Previews and trailers can be found here and the episodes should follow right after.

Gotten back into RO and a Wallpaper Rant

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Well, I’ve gotten back into Ragnarok Online. It’s a pretty cool game and you should check out the private server I am on over at http://www.q-ro.net/ . So that’s one more reason why I might not be as active of a blogger anymore. (more…)

So apparently the Powerpuff Girls have been reimagined for Japanese television. Good for them.
